Yes. But only for those of us with adjustable calendars.
STP for this Hump day, Payday, Mayday.
Yesterday I noticed a bunch of grasses and weeds scattered about on an aluminum ladder I’ve got hanging on the side of the garage. I suspected a robin was planing a nest on the ladder so I cut a piece of board and made a platform which I mounted a couple feet above the ladder. I then gathered the litter from the ladder and placed it on the platform.
This morning the nest is almost complete…….on the ladder, the platform is clean as a whistle.
Old gas water heaters could easily last 40 or more years. They would finally get so much lime in the bottom that the thermostat couldn’t sense the water temperature and you never knew what temperature water you were going to get.
The new ones, it seems, are designed to meet their warranty then fail, usually a small leak which can only be detected when the water is hot and thus under higher pressure.
Being somewhat partial to lagers, I think tonight I’ll polish off Two Women from New Glarus.
BC is the new ZB.
Does that mean the Rapids area can expect to see a giant snow fort next winter?
Maybe you need to Slow Down more.
Nailed my first mole of the season today at a trap which I’d set a couple of week ago and had given up on but was too lazy to pick back up.
Myself I like dandelions, they take virtually no effort to grow, they have pretty flowers, and my terrorists like to snack on them.
Just when I’d begun to think that the garage rodents had gone extinct I trapped another two this morning. Well I guess this will keep the DNR from having to initiate a restocking program.
Maybe thats the connection.
This afternoon the CO detector in my house started to beep. I went to check and found the display reading ‘END’. This is something I’d been expecting for some time and have had it’s replacement up and operating since last fall.
The only thing I can’t figure out is why this didn’t start beeping at 2 am. as usual.
That tulip-chomping terrorist is soon-to-be TOAST!!!
Tulip chomping terrorist-on-toast. sounds delicious.
I don’t recall ever seeing one before unlike another visitor I’ve been seeing at one of my bird feeders, a Cowbird.
Just spotted a couple of Yellow-Rumped Warblers at my bird bath. I suspect just a pause on their journey North.
