I have a clock radio w/usb port that was handy for charging my cell phone at night at my bedside. The problem is that last time change it took an hour + of screwing around to set the time. This morning it took about 10 min. before it hit the trash can.

I don’t really need a clock to get up. I have two cats.

The craphas is going away and I don’t know which looks worse, the lot next door that they logged off this winter or my back yard. sticks and branches everywhere.

Went out and grabbed a few caches this afternoon. The a/c was on in the car and welcome.

Thunder and lightning in East Sandland this evening. Oh and even a little rain.

It seems to be what naturally happens when they try to eat the sunflower seed imbedded in the peanut butter.

This week is starting out just like the last, another mouse has past away in the garage.

Just a little curious as to how much craphas we’ll see from this evening’s storm which isn’t going to affect us.

The town just came by and plowed the road so I went out and cleaned up after them. I was just closing the garage when it occurred to me that I hadn’t checked the condition of my mice today. Looked under the car and sure enough another one has died.

We have 5″ of craphas right now but am not expecting much more. I was just looking at the great lakes radar loop and it looks like the system grew much larger than the weatherman was expecting this morning and our friends to the South may not have been as deprived as I thought.

The guy on TV this morning said that the band of craphas has shifted so far North that it is missing Madison and Milwaukee altogether.

Those folks must be almost inconsolable.

I was just looking at a calendar to try to decide when would be a good day to put the snow shovels away. Right now I’m thinking April 15th. And looking at the calendar gave me a bit of a surprise, I have heard of the tax filing extension so I assumed that the 15th was on the weekend. I remember when if the 15th fell on a Sunday, a person had until the Monday the 16th to file. Has the bureaucracy gotten so lazy that Friday and Saturday are now also official days of rest.

Just starting to get a little light rain here in East of Sandland.

It will be replaced shortly and these aren’t just sunflower seeds, these are sunflower seed kernels meant for human and presumably rodent consumption.

I have a couple of the black plastic jaws type mouse traps, both baited with a gob of peanut butter with a single sunflower seed on top. This morning I noted that one was missing the seed. The other was missing from the engine bay of my truck. I found it on the floor with a dead mouse it it, looks like he pushed his luck one seed too far.
