At 1:30 I checked the depth at the back door, 6″. I shoveled a path to the garage, depth there 6″. I then shoveled a path to my mailbox, out in the open the depth was closer to 4″ overall. I then decided to fire up the snowblower and did the whole drive, its not like I had anything else to do.
The craphas isn’t supposed to start till mid-morning so I’ve still got time to get to the store and buy as much stuff as I can cram into my car. Trouble is I’m old school, didn’t ever learn much about this hoarding stuff, can’t imagine what I’ll do with the stuff when I get it home.
How much craphas will we get ?
This morning TV11 was predicting about a foot, at noon TV2 said 6.5″ for this area.
I saw a few of the Polar Plungers on the TV news but didn’t spot anyone that looked like Clay Mathews.
I see that people who do this very often wear elaborate outfits.
Will you be dressed as an ammo can or a pill bottle.
For years I’ve been putting out two feeders with sunflower seeds and two or three suet blocks. For years I’ve had two mourning doves hanging around but seldom if ever a blue jay.
This year I’ve added a feeder filled with a trail mix of millet, cracked corn, peanuts, etc. Now in addition to all the usual suspects I’ve got a half dozen mourning doves and it’s not unusual to see blue jays.
Just as I was cleaning up the 4.5 – 5″ of craphas from my drive the town plow made one pass up & down my road. I then went into the village and did my sisters drive expecting that the town would have completed messing up my drive by the time I returned, they haven’t.
Now it’s wait to go back to shoveling, I hope I haven’t lost my momentum.
This sent me back through the worm hole again, I thought that was a thing of the past.
I lived and worked in Iceland for a year and a half and never saw the Aurora. It seemed that whenever there was any activity, I’d be on duty and by the time I got off and walked out to the headlands to get away from the light pollution the sky would be clouded over.
Your churn some butter comment got me to looking for butter churns on the net. The number that I found, both manual and electric, surprised me. It may be that more people than just ‘settlers’ are churning their own butter.
And you, your cabbages.
What, and give up my Directv ?
Awful quiet here on a Wednesday, humpday, payday at the sandcastle day.
Wow 6 hour bump what’s everyone doing, spring cleaning ?
The temperature in East Sandland has gone from -10 to +10 in just this morning.
My damn humidifier keeps shutting itself off. It doesn’t seem to appreciate that the dump is only 2 mi. away and open Wednesday.
