‘Twasn’t the cough that carried him off but the coffin they carried him off in.
Cute.
The cats are both sleeping after a long and strenuous day of napping.
What irritates me about as much as anything is getting logged out randomly. I was logged in and then went and refilled some bird feeders, came back and refreshed the page and found I was logged out.
I think there is a certain Westside BOD that sits there with her finger on the button to log out people when they turn away. Do you have a webcam she hacked?
I guess I’m going to have to make a cardboard cutout to put in my chair when I leave.
15 min. to go. The world awaits with bated breath.

I got a card Saturday from a local funeral home that said ” Resolve to Prearrange Your Funeral”.
Maybe they could at least wait till start coughing.

They’re not talking caching. They’re talking about their numbers.
But it’s not about the numbers…
Oops, sorry. It’s just so hard to remember that.

For a while this last fall I thought I might exceed last years total of 103 but alas I just couldn’t justify hours of driving just to inspect a bunch of stop signs.
Why does a person think that they have to inject their likeness into every photo ? Do they think that a picture of a sunset for instance will not stand on its own merit ?
Mr. & Mrs. Redpoll joined us for breakfast today. Just the two of them. Redpolls must pair up like some other birds. Doves do that, too. If we see one dove, there’s usually a second one coming in soon. I am assuming they are a pair, not just buddies.
I have had a pair of doves hanging around here for years, it’s always just the two never a third or forth.
I used to have a doe that would show up on my back yard with her new set of twins every year. I would always see her lead them to the birdbath, sort of like “ok kids here’s where you come to get a drink”.
That stopped happening about three years ago, I suppose she was hit by a car but maybe she was just hit by old age.
My lawn is mostly evergreen but my woods is mostly oak with a good number of those old or dead from wilt. Great woodpecker habitat.
I’ve often wondered if the lack of bluejays around here might have something to do with the number of large woodpeckers. I have a lot of hairy and red-bellied woodpeckers and when they show up the other birds scatter. Maybe the bluejays can’t or don’t want to compete with them.
