I heard that a comedian said that the recent demand for TP is being driven by the fact that whenever someone coughs, ten people s— their pants.
Beware the Ides of March.
I think I’ll hide in the basement today. 🙂
Got our census questionnaire in the mail yesterday. Filled it out before I logged on here. For my family of four, it took less than 5 minutes. Interesting that there wasn’t a paper questionnaire to fill out, they give you a website and code to access the form online.
Do you mean that if I fill-out and return the paper questionnaire that I received yesterday that I will get an additional one ?
Where did everyone go ? It’s Pie Day.
I’m not too concerned with what the NBA does or doesn’t do. I had always considered dribbling to be a fundamental part of the game and when they made it optional to pump up the show I quit watching.
For the three years we lived in Oregon, we never saw a rattlesnake although they lived in our valley. We were on the southern side, so there wasn’t any decent sunning spots for them.
My father once told me that in his youth ( mid 1920’s) that he and his buddies used to hunt rattlesnakes in the area of Rattlesnake Bluff just South of Adams. Never said if they caught any.
I thought I heard a Hummingbird today. It took a moment to sink in and by the time I turned to the window it was gone. I can’t believe that one is here yet but I hear them at that window all the time in the summer so I know what the sound is. I did some checking and they have been spotted in central Arkansas four days ago so if a few got caught up in that strong southerly wind we’ve had the last few days they could easily be here.
All the way up to 3 deg. so I just went out and shoveled off about a quarter of my driveway before giving it a break. Like I said , 3 deg. 🙂
1 deg. just East of Sandland., about an inch of craphas.
Ended up with 8″ here East of Sandland. 8 deg. here Brrrr.
I just went out to check on the craphas conditions, shoveled a path to the garage. At 1 pm the craphas levels are 6.5″ at my back door and 7″ in front of the garage.
If the sky were to clear by 6pm the next three days ( Thur. – Sat.) the Starlink third launch satellites should be visible passing from roughly the NW to ESE. The time is approximate but they will be passing for about a half an hour.
Doesn’t all that oppressive heat leave you exposed to those long-horned ticks 🙂
If the skies clear after the storm Saturday evening should be a good time to see the Starlink 3 satellites.
I read that in one of my newsfeed articles. Gonna get chilly though . . .
It shouldn’t be too bad yet by 6pm.
