Congratulations Jim. Great to have a back-up plan that works so well.

Congratulations on your milestone kids. Can we expect a turkey with 2900 scrawled across him soon? 😈

BTW. I just checked that cache and didn’t find any pumpkins. 😆

    Wow !!!
How did I ever miss this. Oh I know, it was Friday the 13th and I was hiding under my bed. 😆

    Congratulations kids.

Congratulations Jim! Glad you didn’t get “lost’ on your way to 2000.

That’s not far from what was going on. I dropped the receiver and the screen went blank. It came back on but thereafter was showing signs of having a concussion.

    Congratulations on the 3K Pete.

Thanks for the congrats. And thanks also to the COs. who put these 2000 out (and all the others that I DNF). I’ve enjoyed them all.

    My only other is Minnesota.

I had figured on doing many in Minnesota because my Sister and Brother-in-Law live in Prescott.
Alas on our second foray into the Hastings area Bro-in-Law went head first down an embankment and did a face plant on the path below, breaking his neck.
Now he doesn’t want to go any more.

    Oh no! That’s terrible!

He’s OK. It was just a little break.

The next souvenir on my schedule is the mailbox.

I date everything that has room.
I almost always have to check the calendar on Garmin to get the date for the first find of the morning.

    My laptop is showing two.

When I’m on my bike I use my E-trex because I have a handlebar mount for it that works quite well.
When on foot I use my Map 60.
When doing P&Gs I use my Nuvi.
I got a smart phone a couple of months ago and used it to look up a cache only once and that time only to get the cords for my Map 60.

    Old habits die hard.

I had a friend who worked there for years.

Never did figure how he didn’t blow himself up.

I was going to suggest that perhaps we could have these souvenirs made into patches or pins. Then we could wear them on sashes with our best geocaching outfits to all our important caching get togethers.

    But I Won’t. 😆

in reply to: August souvenirs #1971253

No I will cache as the mood or weather allows.

I like to go to my souvenir page and gaze at my accomplishments.
31 additional icons would just cheapen that. 🙄 😆
