Congrats on a great milestone. 😀
I had a lot of fun hunting down the needed 20 caches for the Weirdness Challenge. I have a few more on my list and without this cache would have never looked for most of these. Thanks T&B for all the fun!

Personal healthcare
Permethrin is used on humans to eradicate parasites such as head lice and mites responsible for scabies; the common prescription is Permethrin with 5% concentration for scabies, and OTC (over-the-counter) treatment for head lice/crabs is usually permethrin with 1% concentration. However, the British National Formulary states that permethrin has low efficacy in eradicating head lice[citation needed].
Permethrin is also used in industrial and domestic settings to control pests such as ants and termites.

That’s a great cache for your 1000th, congrats! Looks like you had a great time finding the 20 to complete the challenge.

Well, it’s for teams of two, so there could be multiple geocaching teams, or a team and a support staff…I, however, will be part of the Fatalistic Four doing the Amazing Race geocaching challenge organized by Dr. Dolittle and Goldie Diggers on that day. (Wish us luck!)
Do you have a link?
After stopping at the Titanic Event we headed for home and I stopped at Remembering Friends Virtual. There was a great Memorial Day plaque in the parking lot that tells the story of why we have a Memorial Day. There was a lot of information that I didn’t know.
I’ll be on a plane heading for home on Monday. My plan is to get the Virtual in Chicago Int Airport.
Just read the great log, Congratz! What a great cache to find for your 2000 milestone.
If I was looking for a replacement for a Palm, I would use Cachepoint for Android. It uses PQ’s and does not use the phone or GPS. It is a nice program for paperless Geocaching. 😀
I switched to a Oregon 450 last year and haven’t used it since. 8)

…it is entirely possible that there are just so many more caches now that the same amount of travelers have more places to hide and are thus not found as often. I just can’t recall seeing even one in my past hundred finds.
I was thinking about this after posting this morning and I think there are just 4 times as many caches as a few years ago and the TBs and coins are still the same number from a few years ago?
I still think it’s fun to find them.
I have noticed it, even in the Travel Bug hotels along the I-90. My favorite one vanished in California. 😥 I had someone check on it and it’s gone.
It’s weird because I don’t see them on Ebay? Private collections?
Think will last longer than a week before it gets pulled for insanity?
Here is my challenge for all of you?

I just watched a co-worker beat this at lunch yesterday.

I was caught on the North bike trail in the first storm Friday night. I was carrying the sheet in my hand (riding my bike) and quickly stuffed it in my shirt. It was bent but mostly dry. I would love the stamps to stay and put them in the book. The book would be much easier to carry. I was using a clipboard to carry the sheet that made a great rain shield when held upside down. 🙂
1) The stamps need to stay so teams with multiple people don’t split up.
2) I would like the stamps in the book? The card is ok with me.
3) I think the cache bash works just fine the way it is.
4) See you next year. I had a great time.
🙄 😆 😀

I can answer that question in 3 words: PERMANENT WATERTIGHT CONTAINERS.
I would also lobby for releasing caches the Monday before the event. Not only does this give people time to download queries and plan routes, but a few souls will head out to find the caches early, which will serve to test the accuracy of the coordinates and uncover other problems which might arise when caches are placed in advance.
/agree – The plastic baggie in the tree was my favorite. More like a water collector than protector… 😥
