those folks that gotta whine are the exception

I also think this is uncalled for especially from a member of the WGA Board. I think it’s childish!

After reading this whole thread, I have to agree with gotta run 100% on this. All they are asking for, is for us, as a community, to teach new players to contact the owners of the cache first. That is what you all did with me and I appreciated the lesson. As a cache owner I will help on one of mine, if asked or if a DNF pops up, with a question of a WP missing, I check it out. Asking here for help after not getting a response from an owner is what I do know. And yes I have emailed an owner for help and did not get a response back until 2 days after I came up with the find.

There is a Super 8 in Waukesha also. It is right off of I94 and only about 20 min at most from downtown. It has a wide variety of food within 10 min plus around 50 caches within a 3 mile radius.

I followed their advice today and bought a cheap compass. The only thing is I can’t figure out where to put in the coordinates?

It has taught Jerry to notice his environment. And by that I mean the little things while do a search. Like in a park there is more than just a playground and sandbox. It also taught him the world consists of more than what he sees, as there is always another cache to be found.

in reply to: Garmin Nuvi’s #1910492

We have a nuvi 200. We also use GSAK and have no problems with it. We have loaded over 1500 custom POI”s without an SD card and my cousin has loaded over 2000 without the card. If money is tight a 200 does the job! We did get one free upgrade upon registering it on garmin.com, which did update the roads. The private road we live on was not on the original map that it came with, but was on the update. We’ve been here over four years!

I agree this has to be the worst! They are way overdoing it! He hasn’t done anything useful in how long now, and it’s nonstop. Just stop the insanity!

I was reading the comments and just laughed at this one!

Your honor, I respectfully submit that the officer on duty consumed the evidence, that being said cheetos and that this case be dropped for lack of evidence. Otherwise, I demand a writ of habeus corpus, that is, to produce the evidence in question. I rest my case.

in reply to: Archiving your caches #1910200

I achieved one because the container came coming up missing. It was in a park and I had placed it there after somebody had archived theirs in the same park. I figured somebody found the one then mine and took the caches, both nanos, for some reason. I did not want to loose any more.

I know that the parents want to see the kids play but I am sure that it was for the best. Those little ones play so hard and don’t always know what their bodies may be telling them.

Hope you took Jerry for ice cream!

The league threw all the players and their families a barbecue! Most just grabbed the food and ran to get back inside where it was cool!

We have a new logo? When did this happen?

Seriously, Jeremy is working on revising the web design of the WGA site, so it is coming. I suppose we could ask him to call in sick a few days to get it done, but I suppose his creditors would not appreciate that.

But couldn’t he make that change first? So the link on our cache pages would display the new logo.
