How about “don’t move firewood, it bugs me” from the DNR, if you think about it in the right light. we could use it so people re-hide their finds as they found them!
I wonder if they ever miss just short and have taken somebody out? Or if somebody was stupid enough to try and jump to hit it?
Congrats!

The problem here, in this thread, is not with the way it was logged online, but the way it was found. I know I don’t put out difficult finds out, but if I put a cache out, I want you to physically find my cache. Just getting to the area doesn’t qualify for a find, if it did, there wouldn’t be a DNF on the drop down, when you log your find on the website.
As an example lets say I go to find a cache that you hid near a local fishing hole.
I get there and right at ground zero is a couple guys that obviously aren’t leaving anytime soon. I decided instead of coming back at a later date to ask them how the fishing is going and as we talk I look for the cache discreetly.
After a few minutes of talking and secretly looking I spot the cache in its hiding spot. I have found the cache, yet there is no way of retrieving it without a follow up visit. To me this is clearly a find even though the log was not signed. I will continue to log any cache I physically find, even if I don’t sign the log.
Drive by caching is another thing altogether, why even bother geocaching then?
Isn’t that what I said “I want you to physically find my cache.” But an excuse of mosquito’s brings that into question! And I bet you would note the fisherman and that you found it, in your log

I don’t like cut/paste, but when I read the same log, witch the same 5 misspelleded wurds, it maks me laff! 😆
I’ll admit to cut/paste if I have a few but I’ve been in two industrial accidents, that don’t always leave my hands feeling good. ( had machinery crush one hand and cut to the tendons on the other) I do try to give an acount if I thought some thing interesting happened.

So am I to assume that I can’t log any caches from our phone using the Trimble service without upsetting the balance of the entire geocaching community? Can someone please point me to that rule on GC.com. We have logged several that way lately because we have been away from our laptops and internet access and found we don’t forget to log them later if we do it this way. Our plan is to update the logs later, but we may or may not get to them. I apologize if this offends some cache owners, but feel free to waste your time going and double checking our logs for signature compliance. If you find we did not sign the log, please let us know and we will rectify the situation.

Crayons! Did anybody mention crayons??? I just checked one of my ammo boxes. Someone had put two 12-count boxes of crayons in it and some unsupervised kids or inconsiderate adults must have dumped them out rummaging through it 🙄 I may have to go back and tape the boxes shut cuz they won’t stay put in those flimsy little boxes. ARGHHH! And say, don’t those things melt in the hot summer sun? I seem to remember that happening once to my daughter’s crayons. Sorry for venting…did I mention that I hate crayons 😡
Well, I am sure there is a crayon “collector” out there somewhere ❗
🙂 🙂 🙂Jerry will take the crayons if he finds them, so I guess he is your collector!

So if you lose your job (such as Burger King) via a layoff or other means and eventually get a job at a competing company (say McDonalds), you should be hated for it????
Woking at McDonalds for $7 an hour compared to making millions for the Green Bay Packers are two different things! He is the one who quit on us and if he was going to the Viqueens to pass dogs in the stands I wouldn’t complain! But this is a sport I am a fan of and he is the guy who portrayed himself as one of us. Now who wants to see somebody you are a fan of acting like a baby wanting to play for somebody just so they can try to get back at them twice! The Pack had to move on when he retired and he’s sore because they didn’t welcome him back with open arms.
By the way I hate defending Ted!@gotta run wrote:
Hotel room, gas, and incidentals for a weekend trip to the Green Bay-Minnesota game: $500.
Tickets to the game: $?????!
Watching a formerly beloved Green Bay Packer put the finishing touches on tarnishing his otherwise-amazing career and spit squarely in the eye of every Packer fan who supported him unquestioningly over the years:
Shameless.
AMEN

Meteorologists that say that they cannot be accurate more than 36-48 hours out, and then give you a seven day outlook. The station I watch here in Milwaukee will often give you a different forecast from each meteorologist. I guess they want to cover most of the possibilities. One of them has to be right. Right?
What about them giving you what the daily temps are going to be, for those by the lake, and then tell you that will only hold for a couple of miles inland. don’t most of us in their viewing area live more than two miles away from the lake?
My worst? I was caching in a little park in North Prairie, WI. As I am looking for the container, a police officer drives up and asks what am I doing poking around in his trees. After explaining what geocaching was to him, he pulled away. As I was in the middle of a large pine tree, he pulled back up, and called me over by name. Now I had not told him my name, but I went over by him thinking this can’t be good. It wasn’t. Come to find out after my wife was in an accident, we didn’t pay her fine on time and unbeknown to us got our licenses suspended, ALL of them, drivers and vehicles! I had to get somebody to come pick me up and drive me home. The officer sat there waiting at the entrance to the park, with a county sheriff, waiting for somebody to get me. It ended up being a crummy $10 late fee that got me. But did that suck having to call someone to get me. At least I got the find!
I’m tired of the Favre watch. I wish they would wait until he actually signs with the Vikqueens, to start reporting on it. ESPN right now is reporting he is going to see the surgeon and the next breath that he is not. Give it a rest!

As long as smoking is still a legal activity, this legislation makes no sense. No one in our household smokes and we avoid places where people do. But that’s the point. It should be left up to businesses and the marketplace to manage this, rather than regulate behavior.
Until government has the guts to make smoking tobacco itself illegal, this is just cowardice on their part. Goverment loves to tax smokers but hates to have them around. You can’t have it both ways!
AMEN!
Thank you for the link! While I did not have a geocaching question, the chat was definitly helpful and much easier than calling.

Maybe the Packers should give #4 to one of the rookies or perhaps a punter, as suggested on WKLH this morning. 👿
It would not suprise me if they did, and if he goes to the Viqueens, they should!
