Congrats on 2K, and thanks for your 21 Cache Rescue Missions! 😀
Welcome home! 😀
If we’re putting the names of the TB Race winners on the WGA Hauler, perhaps the cachers that finish the SP Challenge can sign the side of the Hauler in a designated area, along with the date they completed it.
WTG, neighbor! 😀
Congrats on 4K! 😀
For all cachers attending the GeoPicnic, we invite you to compete in the WGA TB Race II, which will kick-off at the Event!
This year, we are charging a modest $3 entry fee per trackable, to help cover the cost of prizes at the end of the race next year. Or, you can purchase a WGA Travel Tag to send out that day for $7 and the entry fee is waived, just for supporting the WGA!
If you have a TB ready to race, feel free to drop it in the Event. Otherwise, you can activate it at, or shortly after, the GeoPicnic.
ALL TRACKABLES MUST START THEIR JOURNEY AT THE GEOPICNIC ON SEPTEMBER 21ST!
If you raced last year, be sure to attend this years GeoPicnic to receive your “bling” for participating in the WGA TB Race I. You may even win a consolation prize!
See you there!
When instructing young cachers on how to hunt, it is best to place some temporary caches yourself, then take them out to find them. It seems that permanent caches have “issues” after a new group seeks them. Best to see who’s interested and who’s not before you continue to do downloads and advanced geocaching practices.
If I teach a group, I teach it with a GPS, to show the accuracy of the unit. It’s also the way the game was meant to be played, kinda like baking cookies from scratch, rather than buying the frozen cookie dough!
Welcome to the WGA Forums!
🙂
Congrats on completing the challenge! 😀
I, personally, am happy to support the WGA by paying a small entry fee to race. I’m not going to enter 30 racers for $90, but I could!
In my opinion, as a member, the fee shows a fiscal responsibility by the Association to protect it’s treasury assets, while providing a fun game to watch all year. I’m hoping to get our name on the side of the WGA Hauler some year!
Very good, with the short time slot offered!
It’s been a long, grueling TB race this past 11 monthes! Many have “bit the dust”, but a few are still moving along.
As the last few weeks play out, the BODs are hoping that many of the participants will be in attendance at the 2013 Geo Picnic at Governor Thompson State Park. First, to receive your ‘Participant’ recognition, and second, to send out your TB(s) for the next race.
We will have TB tags available…even the WGA Travel Tags that just arrived! These would make great tags for a WGA race participant!Don’t be discouraged if your TB didn’t finish well. You may be getting a consolation prize!
See you in NE Wisconsin on September 21st!
My visit was spur-of-the-moment, Rat. Good thing I didn’t go for the CRs, as jar42 got them!
Congrats on the cottontail! 😀
I popped into Wildcat SP last Monday, just to enjoy the view!
