04/07/2013 at 11:47 am in reply to: Geocachers in St. Croix Falls, WI/Taylors Falls, MN area? #1969543Well, well, well! You planned that move quite well!
The joint WI/MN Campout is right in your backyard May 17-19 at Interstate Park! You can enjoy 3 days of fun and exploring, and most likely meet a few locals to make some plans with.
Hope to see you there! 😀Do you have time to get some DNA from our Wisconsin puzzle masters? Throw the DNA in a centrifuge and keep the heavy stuff! Add water and…
SELLZUP SUPER CLONE!! 😀
Pack the hybred cacher and off you go! 8)
As WGA Prez, I had inside info on these stinkers and hid my first and only one today! I may hide another one a year from now…just waiting for the Reviewer to give the grin light! 😉
The vendors might, depending on their business structure. The WGA does not, unless the powers-that-be change the laws.
Our tax status was discussed with legal council at our meeting in February.
The WGA BOD discussed amending this Resolution at their organizational meeting. After discussion and further thought over the last few weeks, the following amendment was made for future vendors at WGA Events:
The WGA from this date forward establishes these rules for the selling of commercial products at our
events:
1. Vendors must get prior permission from the WGA of at least 7 days prior to the event in order to be
allowed to sell commercial products at any WGA event.
2. Vendors must provide to the WGA Secretary the following information in writing prior to being
approved to conducting any commercial activity: Name of individual, name of company (if any),
mailing address, phone number, email address, and description of products that are intended for
commercial activity.
3. Vendors may be required to pay a fee of $25 to the WGA for the privilege of setting up their
commercial activity at our event. If vendor fee is waived, a donation would be accepted (for door
prizes) in lieu of fee.
4. The WGA BOD will designate a area for vendor sales, the area may or may not be inside a shelter (if
available). Vendors must provide their own table, booth or shelter to the extent that they see fit. The
WGA is not responsible for providing any equipment to vendors. We hope this amendment eases the strictness that may have been interpretted with the previous wording, while keeping the spirit of all WGA Events intact. WGA Events are an opportunity to socialize with other people of like interests while having access to WGA merchandise on a limited basis; sales that the WGA relies on to keep operating capital in the treasury, thus eliminating the need for membership dues.
Looks like The Key is going from Finland to Sweden! 8)
Thanks Spike007! New caches, night caches, tug-o-war, pancakes, and the great outdoors! 😀
I don’t believe that revisits are double after more than 1 year. But your right… only 1 cacher can get the revisit points.
I’ll admit that I still need to pick up my last 6 archived Alphabet Soup containers. If it ever stops snowing, that’s the next outing!
You need to be a previous finder for “Verify Present” CR missions. Anyone can try to rescue any listed “Verify Removed” cache. A previous cache finder has better odds on finding it, but I have removed dead caches that aren’t where we found them the first time!
I try to take pictures of all cache containers from a Rescue Mission. At least someone sees physical evidence of what was removed. And I agree that Team Deejay does a great job of letting us know about the WP #s on multicaches. That Zilmer Trail Rescue was a beast a few years ago!
Cache Rescue is a visual record of our efforts to keep geocaching a clean sport for everyone. Kudos to all the Rescuers! 😀
Linda and I look at “Travel Wisconsin”, too. We find an Event a few times a year and take off! We may do 3-10 caches there and back…or none!
Perhaps as “some of us” get older ( 😯 ), we need more diversified stimulus to keep us going! My gosh! Gwyn broke her arm! That must have stimulated SOMETHING! 😉WTG, Lonely Cacher! 😀
