Welcome home! 😀
I’m a rebel! I don’t listen to rats!
Entered!
Our State Parks offer much more than geocaching! If I were to choose from ALL of Wisconsin, I’d choose the NW part of the state. Big Manitou Falls, Interstate, Copper Falls. They are less frequently visited and there is less commercialization nearby. You can visit during the week and never run into another person.
When my daughter was married 3 years ago, they planned a 2 week honeymoon to Central and South America. In the end, they saved their $ and toured State Parks in Northern Wisconsin for 10 days. They still talk about what a good decision that was!
Just my opinion…
WTG, Barry! See ya this weekend! 😀
Ditto what hotdogs said!
Congrtats on 10K, and thanks for choosing 1 of our caches for the Milestone Moment! I was happy to greet you and knew you would share your experience in the log. Well done! 😀
Had hot wings, grilled hamburgers, crab dip, chips and salsa, fruit cups with sweet cream, a chocolate marshmallow dessert, and good family company for the game. It was worth the last minute invite! 🙂
02/03/2013 at 3:04 am in reply to: Mrs. IceCream Man .. funeral to be held in Beaver Dam WI #1968056Sorry to hear of her passing. We helped maintain some of their caches over the last few years. Never met them, but nice to pm.
RIP.
WTG! See you later!
As long as you put family first, KFH, you may kibitz on 2.300! I may drive by and BEEP, just for fun!
Seriously, I’ve only been to Wet Maze 2.300 once…when I placed it!
Gallagher Marsh should take about 45 minutes max, probably less. Then 5 minutes to drive around to Hwy. TC and, most likely, road parking. That’s about as far as my estimate goes! It could take from 1-2 hours, depending on what you run into in the marsh. So, 2-3 hours, unless you need to back off.
How about Gallagher Marsh at 9:30 AM, followed by WetMaze 2.300 at 10:30? It’s about a 45 minute drive to Horicon afterwards. If your running late, you’ll still have time to get there. The escort service will, most likely, not be there! I have my scruples, ya know! 😉
In my opinion, Wet Maze 2.300 would be safer than The Expedition right now.
With the water risk almost a mile from the parking area at The Expedition, it would be a cold, dangerous return walk in below 0 wind chills with wet clothes on.
I’m not saying that 2.300 will be dryer, but it will be a shorter walk. I don’t want cachers missing the LCG Event because of unsafe ice conditions or frost bite. The cattails will be the issue at 2.300. If they went down in this rain/snow, you may need a machete to get to GZ!
Welcome home! 😀
Send out the copy. Attach something to it and see how long the 2nd one lasts! Muggling is part of the game…unfortunately. I’ve only seen 1 time where the original appeared after a few years. The race may be over if that happens.
Good luck!
