Yup! Wrong site!
With the few that I have placed on private property, I have told the owner the advantages of having a cache there, i.e, Holiday Inn and Army/Navy Surplus Store. I contact them annually with #s of customers and comments that show them cachers appreciate their permission.
If there is nothing in it for the property owner, other than the hassle you have experienced, I’d Archive it and place 5 others. Do you REALLY want your hide remembered for the wrong reasons?I look forward to seeking your cache(s) in the future! 🙂
Nice puzzle, by the way! And I can about figure out the relocation problem. But with the effort you put into the cache page, I’m sure you’ll come up with an alternate locale, if you so choose!
Far(m) out!! 😉

WTG! We were watching! 😀
As far as I’m concerned, a CO can Archive a cache (or ALL their caches) at anytime, for any reason…even personal reasons. There are “Hiding a Cache” guidelines, as far as publishing and maintaining caches. There are logging guidelines, too. There are excellent Reviewers to oversee these things at the onset of cache placements, but it looks like the general caching public wants to police the fun from there.
My niece was visiting from Oklahoma this weekend. She uses her Smart Phone for geocaching. She finds an average of 1/month, as she usually has her 3 kids in tow. It helps her break up the day and distracts the kids from petty bickering. She is very grateful to COs that place P/G caches for the 4 of them to find. She attended “Quarry Quest” this last weekend and got her first real taste of hiking to a cache! But she had 3 other adults helping tend her kidos, too.
She looks forward to the day when she can have the time to write more meaningful logs.I guess I’m hoping that a CO never Archives all of their caches because of someone like my niece.
WTG on 3K! 😀
Welcome to the 2K Klub! 😀

WTG x 2! 😀 😀
I received an e-mail with his ‘tomr’ monicker! 😀
Congrats on 3K! We’ve done the ol’ up-down on that one a few times, before our caching days.
Love the town! 😀
Congrats on 5K! And nice reflections in your log! 😉
A sad story. A pet that is ANYWHERE off of your property is still your responsibility. The trap was probably baited, and the dog took the bait.
I know the kind of trap that got the dog, and they are meant to kill animals instantly…and usually do. It could have been a person misstepping, too. OUCH!Be careful out there!
A good group of cachers made for fast work! Thanks, -cheeto-, for organizing the clean up, and for ordering the perfect weather (something you forgot to do in April!).
See you all next April! 😀
