Welcome! 😀
I heard through the “grapevine” that your wonderful people. Have fun on the hunt! 😉
I read that article, as well. Good idea to move the trail away from the Gun Club land. I’m sure CJ is awatchin’! 😉
It would be good for you to personally attend an Event. Choosing a theme for your gathering, and talking with some cachers that have hosted, will help you along. It’s not neceassary, but you get a better idea of what it entails!
Check out the Events section in the Main Menu. We have an Event in Oshkosh on the 29th, Marc has a Meet ‘n’ Greet in early August, there’s a 101 workshop coming up, etc. Even co-hosting an Event with an experienced cacher(s) is alot of fun.I’m not sure about the Board Member part, but I’m sure they’ll respond!
I would think that 30-40 minutes would be right. It isn’t too far once you drive through “Skum Town”! And Regner Park is more on the north side of WB.
If it’s the truth, it isn’t negative!
You have just joined the club of head-shakers and head-scratchers that wonder why trackables are stolen. It is one of the disappointments of geocaching. And cache owners can’t always be checking there caches daily to see if the trackables that are listed are PHYSICALLY there, so they take other cachers words on whether a TB is there.
I posted 1 missing yesterday after it was mentioned in an online log. Some cachers don’t log there trackable movements because of ignorance or newness to the game and lack of information on HOW to log it. Or they think it is swag for the taking!
Your only consolation is that it wasn’t your trackable that was swiped! Sorry if you rushed to the cache to see a beautuful coin that is now in someone’s private stash… 🙁But thanks for posting, Cujo31, and welcome back to the hunt! 😀

Congrats! Glad you got “a round” to finding #2000! 😉
So what else is new? 😕
Congrats, WI Hi! 😀
I think alot of the newest cachers are enjoying hiding caches. The bike trails are the most convenient, especially for a cache series. We appreciate cachers giving back to the community by placing containers for the rest of us to find. It may look like a power trail, but there are just so many public places left to hide new caches. We were surprised to find a new cache ON a water tower recently! That tells me that the Reviewers are probably swamped with caches to publish and this one snuck through. Do we need a cache every .10 mile on a trail? Probably not. But if the Reviewers can’t find a problem with them, they will get published and, perhaps unfortunately, become “power trails”.
We, as cachers, have the power to choose NOT to seek certain caches. So if we don’t want to find all of the caches on a bike trail, we don’t have to. (But it’s hard to pass one up, isn’t it! 😉 )
WTG! 😀
Of course, there is that “proximity rule” that can apply to almost any cache. 😡
Congrats! Can’t wait for the grandsons to get a bit older! 😀
I am guilty of making a cache more winter-friendly…but only in winter, and if the hide isn’t any different than it was 1 or 2 feet lower. And I have found a “winter-friendly” icon cache under a rock on a dead end street, where there are 15 foot snow piles in winter!
But making it winter-friendly in June or July is REALLY planning ahead!Such a thoughful cacher… 😕
p.s. That’s the ONLY reason Trekkin’ looks for the FTF?! 😉
