I still write down caches I will be seeking. It limits the # of finds in the period of time allotted, and I can put a little extra effort into the logs, as well as post pictures of interesting scenery. I could go paperless, but the system I’ve used is one of convenience and priorities. I can jot down notes and put PIX by the ones I have photos for.
I have put TFTC only on a few caches. If you have found those caches yourself, you know that was probably 3 letters too many anyway! The cache owner deserves a decent log for their decent hide!
I have never cut and pasted. I suppose I could but the online log is an important part of the fun. I enjoy reading ALL the logs that cachers have put time into.
Not sure if we believe you! We better get a group together to check the physical log. Florida sounds better than the CRAPHAS around here!
CONGRATS! Your 1K Club key is “in the mail”. 😉
And you can log a smiley at the Fond du Lac A/N Store, as well! They have the best ammo cans but are more in the $12 to $18 range, but NO RUST!
Check out “Paint Your Wagon” for coordinates. (GC is not working for us right now, or I would post the #).
I like the idea of different metals on the coins, too.
I would hope the theme would be Wisconsin, geocaching, and the WGA, if that’s who is organizing this…if it IS getting organized.
I’m sure it was discussed recently. I just hope it wasn’t tabled until the new Board members are elected. Coasting can cause delays! 😕Hooray for 2K! 😀
Valet parking is now available at the 2K Club! 😉
Happy 39! You know spouses can’t count! 😉
Good to see you yesterday…twice! 😀
He did post a DISCLAIMER so he could inform us of his opinion, and show us an example that he was aware of. I have gleened the info. Where the ECs are, I really don’t care! And who owns them, I really don’t care.
But his opinion has been shared.
Better let others decide the time. Or just set the time based on when you would have gone out anyway! There are some winter-friendly caches in the area. No reason that a cacher couldn’t grab 20-30 caches from Princeton to Ripon, too!
There might be some cachers headed back that way from West Bend, later in the day. I was thinking that the sunset would be a nice backdrop on the way out!Your call!
Since we were FTF, maybe we’ll come and sleep in the car! 😉
Seriously, we intended to go to West Bend that day, but neither one may work, pending some issues!
What time?
Glad to have you along! 😀
(That’s what BakRdz said at Twin Bluffs Cave…right?) 😉
But you DID find your phone! 😉
I always have the backtrack feature on the GPS. I don’t always use it, like the time I fell off a cliff! 😯
gr… When I noticed this one from the first thread, I put it on the Watchlist. I was the 3rd one to post a note, asking where the coordinates were obtained. My log was Archived about 90 minutes later, but I had 18 e-mails from it being on the Watchlist! About half were in a foreign language.
I was wondering what the comments would be, and some of the Archived logs weren’t very flattering! I see they kept the “positive” logs on the cache page.I would call this a “novelty cache”, and leave it active. Even for astronauts, “All work and no caching makes…”.
This wasn’t cache #1,000,000, was it?
I had it on the Watchlist and there are a ton of logs that were Archived… including mine! 😡
02/03/2010 at 8:47 pm in reply to: How many points for this one? It DOES pass over Wisconsin. #1921448I took it off our Watchlist. Too many e-mails in the last 2 hours! 👿
