We only played intensely the last 2 monthes last year, and had a couple DNFs with subsequent finds. If you searched for it (legitimately) 3 times, and found it the 3rd time, you should get points for trying (legitimately) to find it.
Driving to a posted parking area, and seeing that the cache is 1 mile away, and leaving, is NOT a DNF! It is a DNA…Did Not Attempt! No points!
If I see that a cacher found one that we DNF’d, it let’s us know that the cache is in play, and findable. The DNF’s let the owner know there may be a problem, and why it’s lonely.Bottom line…take the double (or triple) dip, as legitimately as possible!
