Congrats! I was watching over my shoulder and you ZOOMED right past! 😯
Congrats on 1.3K, and for introducing us to the WGA! 😀
Congrats on 2K at 3P!! 😀
Still a nice milestone cache. CONGRATULATIONS!!
Congrats Marc!
Just looked at the photo. Obviously a cacher out standing in the field! 😯
Congrats on #100 and also your first FTF at the new EC in Auroraville. Two milestones in one day! 😀
There was an ammo box near Sheboygan that got muggled about a year ago. It was covered with logs and could easily fit a small child in it. Took another cacher to see it and it was GONE! Someone got a nice container. 😯
What do you consider “normal” people?! 😯
But I’ll bet there is a smile on a certain reviewer’s face! 😀
Congrats on 1K! 😀
When looking at all the fantastic designs, it is a hard choice!
But my first question is always, “What are my eyes drawn to?”
#12b, in my opinion, has the best eye appeal. You first notice the letters WGA from a distance. On a closer look, you notice the “High Cliff State Park”. Using that, and the coordinates in blue (3rd color), does a nice job of framing the graphics. Having a 3rd color, especially blue, makes it pleasing to look at.
The only modification I would add would be to put a “mark” on the state of Wisconsin at the coordinates.
This is also a compromise choice for those that perhaps didn’t like the new logo, or it’s color scheme. But totally eliminating the logo from the design, in my opinion, would not be appropriate.
Nice job, everyone!
.1K! Wat to go!
Thanks,cachers! Your kudos are appreciated!
Race to 2K? Just getting that many will be satisfying! We’ll take it in stride, now that the good weather is upon us. 😀
We hand deliver ours to the DNR office in Oshkosh. That’s one advantage of living in a city with a DNR office! They always mail the form back to us. The DNR does controlled burns of areas occasionally, and needs to know if a cache is placed in the area. I have not heard of a cache owner being contacted previous to a controlled burn, but I know of at least one container that was “torched” along the Wiouwash Trail last year. We have also found a few that should NOT have been placed! DNR ‘protected’ areas are NOT for caches! They are for nesting birds! DNR ‘managed’ areas are OK, if approved.
There are a few cache owners (so we’ve heard) that say that they submitted a form, when they did not, just so the cache gets published. This “shady” practice may soon catch up to us, especially with the number of new caches being placed in the good weather.
I have seen a few caches with laminated copies of the Notification Form in the cache. Not a bad idea. But to answer the question…hide the cache, submit the Form, submit the cache. If it is NOT approved, disable it and move it. All of our submissions have been mailed back to us.
Could you repeat that, please? 😯
