It helps if I’m looking at the Campout instead of the CITO. To answer JMJ’s question: for one – how do you access the number of temporary caches placed for an event? Or other things that have been long archived? Maybe it’s me, but I can’t even get some of the caches centered around the BOD members correct sometimes. There are clearly 6 male and 3 female members of the 2013 BOD and I see Mr. Walker’s first name on the roster. The checker doesn’t like my solution although all it involves is simple subtraction.

Usually the description or the log section will contain information needed. Ā The historical section of the website shows the names of the events and other info you may need. Ā It is a lot of work to get 192 caches done.

I’m really starting to detest the WGA Geo-Art puzzles.

          why is this?

I appreciate all the effort that must have gone into both placing all the caches and making all the puzzles, but what does this actually mean? ā€œB= What was the number of the photo contest that was held for the 2011 Geo-Picnic at Brunet Island State Park?ā€

If you review the cache page logs that should help you find the answer.

Lostcheq be sure to use only premium (no ethanol) type gas in it, or you’ll build up white carbon in the carburetor and eventually need to replace it.

There is always threads to steal and beer to ponder about. Ā The Sun over in Western Wisconsin hasn’t shined for a couple days. Got another 6 inches and no room for more as it’s already to high. Ā Hopefully lostcheq got the snowblower fixed as winter isn’t over.

Geocaching HQ made a decision for GIFF to take a brief intermission until 2023. Ā More information can be found here,

                          Greetings,

I apologize. Ā We didn’t see the issue until just before West Bend Cache Ba$h after receiving the coins. Ā We tried hard explaining to people that bought coins from us that outdoor light or inside bright light was required to see the tracking codes. Ā The activation code is ā€œOAKCOINSā€.

If you have a problem activating your coin please let us know either by responding to this post, or emailing [email protected]

                          Thanks,
                          Jason

                            Greetings Noonan,

I am on the board and haven’t done the WGA Geo-Art but am slowly working on it. Ā For WGA historical things, it is available on our website.

I use the Cachly App for the iPhone and it ties into either Google Maps or Apple Maps. Ā I prefer the Google Maps for driving. Ā I also recently enabled Wifi in the car through OnStarr as sometimes in remote areas, my phone can’t get the signal but GPS always works, so I use the WiFi to gather data for offline caching.

                                Hi Gypsyseeker,

I have participated in a WGA Geocaching 101 recently at Cache Bash 2021, and have and continue to help those that need to install apps on their phone and how to use them. Ā I even created an event before I was on the BOD to help introduce Geocaching and the WGA in Western Wisconsin,

I am always running into newer cachers or those that don’t know about Geocaching and encourage them to try or continue and offer guidance if needed.

                                  Hi Big Jim,

Now that my rotational work weekend is over, I can now think about this tough question.Ā Ā I’ve given so many favorite points over time because of creativity, unique, location, and experience.Ā Ā When I was up in Fargo/Moorhead, Grand Forks, and Gilby, ND., I quickly ran out of favorites due to so many worthy ones to give to.Ā

To the question at hand, about one favorite point, to which cache, and why.Ā Ā

To keep it in Wisconsin, I will give it to ā€œPike Power Hikeā€ GC3B1.Ā Ā This is Wisconsin’s Oldest Active Cache.Ā Ā Why you ask?Ā Ā I love a good hike, and this was definitely a challenge for me at the date and time of going after it.Ā Ā I was breathing hard (also have asthma), my body was tired, and I had a ton of fun with the experience and adventure.Ā Ā The view was amazing as well.Ā  Ā It was a well earned favorite point from me.
