Fu, I’m sure you’d be more than ticked if your “other” TB went missing. 😯

    Dave,

Add me as a maybe. I wouldn’t be able to hang out for the entire time, but might be able to knock a few off the list. If I’m not there at 11:00, don’t wait for me.

Mike was also interviewed on Fox 6 in Milwaukee last night. Hard not to be noticed with that outfit. Sounded like he was still bitter from being beaten by an 82 year old woman. Go Pack. LOL

    Hi Cathy,

The bookmark list handles both of those requests. It’s just not that noticeable on the right side of the page. The St. Germain pages are the best with the logo, but the logo should be a link back to the main page.

Here’s a public bookmark list I created. This should help. Only the St. Germain caches had a nice logo identifying themselves as part of the hunt. I used the google map (http://www.northwoodsgeocaching.com/images/New-Caches.jpg) to figure out the rest.

Another option in Cachemate, instead of using categories, is to use separate databases. You’ll notice a difference in performance by keeping the databases smaller versus putting everything in one database with different categories. After you sync the PDB (Palm Database file) to the Palm, run Cachemate. You have options for, what database and which category, when loading the file into Cachemate. After your data has been loaded, you can select which databases to use by going to the Cachemate/Options tab.

Another option would be to add a PCI Serial Port card. A couple of months ago I added a combination (Parallel/Serial Port) card to a PC and it did the trick. I picked it up from Newegg for $13.

Newegg has the single serial port card for $7.99. (RC-300)

Maybe that’s the coin they give to all wasp survivors. 😆

I wouldn’t be surprised if half of those were FTF’s. Tonight my 3 boys were at a baseball hitting camp and at the end of it, in walks Hugh & MathBoy. MathBoy was in the older group so they were next. Before I could get down the bleachers to say hi, Hugh taps MathBoy on the cheek and hustles out. So I head over to chat with MathBoy and I asked if Dad was off to hit the 5 new Lego Lover caches a couple miles north. Sure enough. Congratulations on the milestone Rick.

Yes, I hit that milestone and also knocked off a few others that have been on the list for quite some time. The South African Fleeflamer was brilliant. And it was nice to actually hunt in daylight hours. Some of those would have been impossible night time caches. Spinning a Yarn: Johnny Cache – It’s amazing what you can find in the woods!!!

All of this wouldn’t have been possible without Uncle Fun graciously letting me use his backup GPSr. Sure, it needs a good wack every once in a while, but it’s filled in nicely while Santa hopefully brings me an upgrade. Thanks Dave.

And if anyone is in the Sheboygan area and wants a real good hunt, check out GCF569 – MILL ROAD PIGEON RIVER CACHE. Don’t look for the ammo box. You’ll be looking for a small green Garmin Geko 201. LOL My wife thinks I lost it on purpose so I could justify an upgrade. 🙄

You can’t go wrong with “Covert Cache” GC3798.

What types of caches are they looking for? Micro’s, Traditionals, Multi’s, Puzzles, Virtuals. Are they numbers people? Long hikes, Short hikes, Terrain? You can give them a head start on “Baffled & Bewildered” GCN8MV and that might be the only cache they’ll get done. LOL

Hey now. Let’s keep it clean, geeks.

Thanks for the congrats. But unlike most, I ‘m not into the nice round number milestones. I like to be different. For some reason, I like prime numbers that end with 11. So in actuality my next benchmark is 1511. Here are my next few milestones if you still want to monitor my progress.

    1811
    2011
    2111
    2311
    2411
    2711
    3011…

So Roger, there’s still hope for my next milestone. The choices have been narrowed considerably with the fate of the Gauntlet.

BTW. If you get the chance, check out Ron’s “Looking Back in Time” GCZEEV in Port Washington. It’s a unique, interesting multi that the kids (big kids as well) will have fun with.

Can an event be held in a SNA or are those banned as well? The Cudahy Woods SNA #351 in Milwaukee County has signage requesting that hikers help with the removal of Garlic Mustard. Would an event doing just that not be allowed? Sounds crazy. I’ve assisted in the removal of Buckthorn from a local park and I think efforts like these as well as CITO events being banned is counter productive. If they ban a virtual or an earth cache, I assume they would ban an event. Is the black and white policy basically saying that an SNA cannot be advertised on GC.com? We need some grey.
