How about creating a public bookmark list similar to Cheesehead Dave’s COTM bookmark list? Eliminate the archived caches and call it Wisconsin’s active honorable mentions.

Some caches in the Milwaukee area have coins listed but the coins are physically not there. Check out:
    http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=16a4f9bb-7479-4fe9-808d-d7880ce22a04&log=y&decrypt=

If you read through the logs, you’ll see many have visited seeking a coin only to be disappointed and some down right mad. pyronesis wants something bad to happen to the responsible parties nether region.

You may also see AuntieNae, The Tapps and Gr8Eyes. I remember seeing AuntieNae being interviewed at the registration table. In regards to my family, we were never interviewed. They just wanted to follow us around to a couple of caches. My brother, AAHAAE, and his daughter were with us as well. At that time, we weren’t sure if it was a story on geocaching, the Waukesha Winter Janboree or some combination.

I hope this wasn’t the only video they took for doing a geocaching story. These were not traditional caches. They were temporary caches set up for the event, which coincided with the Janboree where local businesses participated. The cache hides were inside the stores. I told the reporter this and offered to show them a traditional hide. It sounded like they had to be somewhere else and didn’t have the time. She mentioned that they were going to be at T-Rex for the mid-day registration, but I’m not sure if they ever made it.

We’ll have to watch and see if any of the kids were caught on tape fighting over swag. LOL

Thanks Mike and Michael. That’s a great start for me. Anyone else?

PDA, on the XMas list, is a little to vague for my mother. I’m willing to take the paperless step, however, I’ve done zero for research. I’m looking for PDA recommendations. What should be avoided? Anyone have a link addressing this issue? I guess mfg, model and $ would work as well. Thanks for any input.

I thought I added myself yesterday as well. It appears you have to put something in the Shoutout box in order to be added to the list.
