Mike:
lot of people have the Palm Tungsten E2, and really like them.
I use a PocketPC HP-Rx3715 myself.
I have used the Palm Tungsten E2, and it is a great unit. You shouldn’t have a problem picking one of them up for about 100 bucks.

Way to go. Keep on having Fun!
05/05/2008 at 4:45 am in reply to: Discussion of not logging temps, starting with this event #1888643My personal opinion, and I am sure it will burn bridges is that Everone has to play the game the way they want. I have logged Temps in the past, as I am well aware that many others have as well. It is my feeling, that if people don’t play the game they way they want then this game will cease to exist. Temps came into play when there were not the number of caches that there are now. Now, there are a ton of Permanent caches to be found, and the temps are no longer as important to the advancement of geocahing in general.
Once again, My 2 Cents.

Well, I haven’t yet, but I think I need to. I have a Trek 830 Mountain Bike.
Gotta Run:
Yes, that was the point I was trying to get across. Sorry if my wording wasn’t quite right. I do beleive that CITO’s and Events should be the same. leave it up to the Cache owner.

The Military has for the most part given up on Morse code for Digital Modes such as RTTY, which is basically the same a Morse code, with a Mark and a Space. They also use G-Tor, and Pactor. Morse code is still used, but very sparingly in certain situations.
The Amateur service has also dropped all of the Morse code requirements.
(Don’t get me started on that)!!!
I am in the Mindset, that I don’t care how people log. If you want to Log temps, Go ahead, If you don’t don’t. It’s that simple. Everyone has to play the game the way that the want to. There is no right or no wrong way. Even though Criminal will not agree with me. The game has to have changes, or it will go the way of the Dinosaur. If there are not subtle changes, additional Categories added, and some subtracted, the game will get to a point where it will cease to stop growing and go backwards!
This happens in many organizations. Not just the WGA, or Geocaching.com
I am involved in several clubs that have taken a huge hit in membership on the roster, and in participation. I have been a Amateur radio operator since 1994. there were alot more operators back then then there is now, and there has been Four changes to bring new people into the hobby since. Each time they make a change to make it easier for people to get their license, a bunch do right away, and then it fizzles down to nothing. Same thing when it comes to any public service events that the radio club participates in. Everyone wants to do the public service events, but 4 people show up!
The point in this rambling is that change is inevitable. The only constant is change. Two years from now, they could not allow Events in General. And they could add Mars caching to the categories… One can never know.
I am in agreement, in that Groundspeak should crap or get off the pot, and make a decision. Then that would be the end all. Until that happens, you will have people skirting around rules Loose as they are on both sides of the fence.

Way to go Jeremy! Keep on having fun. Thanks for all you do for the WGA!!!
