I have seen people solicate for both nominations and vote for COTM, which I dont understand. But then again I was going to nominate one for this month and it was permentaly archived last month.
BTW one of my absolute favorite caches is on page 104 of the Delorme (Superior Falls I think), which to me proves a great cache can be anywhereCongrats on the 9K, I felt like I was following you and Team Black Cat this weekend, doing the few caches I had not done in the Menomonee Falls/Germantown area, it seemed all were last done by you
Congrats on 9K
Congrats on both, from those who still trying to get to the top 100
Marc
Thanks for the info on cahcemate, I never knew what the difference was. And yes for $8 it sounds like it is well worth itI use Plucker to process the info for my Palm, which if I remember correctly is a free download
Birdin,
If you look at my thread regarding Linux or Vista both Korpl and Averith chimed in on some solutions and we are looking at a Netbook, which are basically mini laptops. If you go to a site like Newegg.com and search netbook they have many options. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but let me know if it is, I am ordering 1 tomorrow.Yes hello and check your inbox, I messaged you regardign a beginner unit
email to you-looking to update this weekend
I have not used the logo on my first few placements, basically because I did not know where it was hidden. Yes hidden, I didnt think searching for 10 minutes to find it was acceptable.
I do not use the scrolling messages as simply I think they are annoying.
The reason I first took the time to find the location is that I have a Earthcache in another state and well I thought it was ridiculous that there was no Earthcache there already so I wanted the fine people of that state to know who placed it. Curiously they have asked that I place the UTAG (Utah Geocachers) logo on my Wisconsin Earthcache (which I am not doing)
Bottom line, regardless of what people think about the logo, I think we need to put it out there to support our group. I have seen ongoing disputes in other regions (I look at the local forums as to where I intend to travel) that have given organizations black eyesKevin
You can always jopin up with us and grab some. We only have another 777 before 9/13 for one of our goals this year (2000 within our second year of caching). We still have some in your area that we haven’t foundCongrats. Top 100 way to go

NO fair I want to go back. I know of a nearby earthcache we could do 😆
Thanks for the feedback, they appear to be a great lower cost solution.
One more quick question on this topic, we are not wireless so we cant “pipe” off of that. I assume the programs I mention can be transferred via a memory stick, would this be correct?

I can’t wait til the snow melts so I can find some of those that arn’t the most winter friendly caches.
Snow, who stops caching due to a little snow…slow down maybe, stop never.
Either way if you get down in SE Wisconsin area we are always looking to team up with other cachers and have some fun
