I am not a huge fan of a micro in the woods, but like Rog states if you don’t like those caches don’t do them. I do them because they are there, and I don’t complain about them because I figure if the person who placed the cache took the time and energy to do so it isn’t my place to complain about it.
As an example we did one recently that was an Altoids tin in the woods, when we found it you could have hid an ammo can literally with in 2 feet of the hide. The only thing about the physical cache container I mentioned was that it was showing signs of rust.

Sorry if I confused people. What I meant was caches in the Milwaukee area that had been archived and Lil Otter caches. I didn’t mean Lil Otter caches in Milwaukee.

they added a mapping feature also. Looks decent enough but it only goes from home cords to cache. I figure since i dont want to come home between each cache I will keep using my Nuvi and listening to “recalculating”

I looked at a lot of the caches that have been archived in the Milwaukee area and also a fair number of the 52 Pick Up list. Marc hit the nail on the head most of those in Milwaukee now have new caches in the area that would create a proximity issue. Of Lil Otters it seems some guy called Neil Young has several close enough to create proximity issues, or there are new caches of the same theme nearby now.

ok I thought it was a good idea. I see I am outnumbered. Thanks for at least looking at the posting 😀

Congrats to both teams. Seems we have two teams each weekend finishing the Badger State..Who is up next?

in reply to: May I grumble? #1892402

When we were caching in Myrtle Beach, there has been a lot of construction due an old Air Force base been scraped, this caused our GPS to start stuttering, trying to say recaluting fast enough to keep up with the road changes

Wow Dove, my auto router does the same thing. I took the mature response of mocking it and a certain gesture, seemed to help but she just continued “recalculating”

I love this question, because when I get asked it I get a look from people that makes it look like I spoiled their day. My wife is in accounts payable for a major manufacturing company. Me, I am bill collector for a surety insurance company.
Oh well it pays the bills and lets me buy batteries for my GPS

Thanks Team DeeJay-After seeing how comments my local AAA office left me merging back into the construction (oh fun)
I did look at their website and found to use their mapping program you do not need a member and where it is similar to Mapquest it warns you of construction (which none of the others do that I know of). If you want to use their mapping go to http://www.AAA.com and under the Travel header locate and click on Directions & Maps-Triptik

We are headed down also. Staying at one of the nearby hotels. Would like to hook up with some fellow Wisconsinites down there.
Want to hit Ohio quick also to claim the state. But other than that we are not sure what are caching plans are while in Kendallville
