Now that the time is getting closer, I think we should start thinking about when and where for dinner on Friday July 24.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

How about we just accept the old logo and never change it?

I have not tried Cheetos macro, but I am intrigued. In fact I have downloaded it and will try it, if it works better for me I will switch.

However I think the important thing to remember is regardless of how you get the caches in the Nuvi, it is a great tool to use

I use a 200 series for the road portion of my caching (ie getting to and from via the road but not the actual caching) and it works great. I use a Garmin 60 series for my caching.

If you have GSAK you can download your caches into your Nuvi with the same cord the 60 series uses. Additionally you have the information that you normally would have via a printout in the Nuvi (by using a Macro from GSAK). I have found this to work very well, however about 50 % of the time my initial upload form computer to Nuvi fails so I have to run it a second time (newer GSAK updates appear to have corrected this problem)

    For details please see: http://pilotsnipes.googlepages.com/index.html

I know it is not perfect solution but it works very well for us

Updates are available thru Garmin, but it will be once the construction is done (ours went mental with the Marquette Interchange work in Milwaukee), the cost is like $80 for one year or $120 for the life of the machine with up to 4 downloads a years, cant give you details on the 1 year plan, we did the lifetime (and the Marquette Interchange is right in the Garmin now)

Well we just got rid of that D/T combo, but I think you can count us in. Got room for 2 more in the car so we got transportation. We are staying a little out of the area in Napoleon but we can work out the details

The puzzle has something to do with a show that is part of the name of a recent finder of this cache. I suspect you may want Jacks seat number, if you cant find that, his seat number is one of the numbers in Hurley’s winning lottery ticket.
    Hope the nudge helps

The “they” you are speaking of, is one person.

That one person has a real full time job that has recently become very demanding.

Please have patience. Instead of dwelling on it, go out and find a few geocaches.

FYI the they I spoke of was the board, last count more than 1 person. And I’m out caching every weekend for usually 25 finds more per weekend

We have a new logo? When did this happen?

    News to me too. LOL.

Seriously, Jeremy is working on revising the web design of the WGA site, so it is coming. I suppose we could ask him to call in sick a few days to get it done, but I suppose his creditors would not appreciate that.

Truthfully, it is hard for all of us to get done all the things we want to get done, despite the best of intentions. I guess we will have to be a tad patient on this, but it will be coming.

I can honestly say that I have gone out of my way in the last 4-5 months to nominate above average caches that I have done, but I honestly don’t think would ever win. My whole objective has been to get quality caches on the list. Two of them that I have nominated would have to go on a person top 10 list

As for the lamppost one, it has to be one of the two worst COTM winners we have done. At least it was part of a great series

I would put up my top 10, and like the two of you who have many more than me, I also would have a hard time limiting to just 10. Perhaps we should also ask that you comment on why the cache makes your list also

One other thought is were would we start this thread?

Zuma & Honeybunnies congrats and thanks for allowing so many of us to be part of the last leg of this adventure, now on to the next 10,000 I know Zuma promptly started working on his second 10,000 as we followed behind him on a few caches leaving the area
I was the 135th member of the millennium club and I hope someday (at least 8 years from now) to join the exclusive club that now only 3 people belong to. You both help inspire many cachers to push themselves to attempt to achieve more and without cachers like yourselves the Wisconsin Caching community would not be the same

in reply to: So where is the new logo? #1907830

After all this time of asking when is the new logo going to be put in place of the old and this automatic update is going to occur it still isnt done. Which leads me to wonder if I shouldn’t start marking all my caches pages with the logo of another states geocaching association that I belong to.

Funny thing is they were not to happy to see our logo on my earthcache placed in there state, so I wonder what the reaction would be to all my Wisconsin caches reading “Proudly placed by a member of the Utah Geocaching Association” and of course add the logo?

Opinion is that of Mr only
