As one of those on the “older side” I love the idea of kayaking as an activity for a geoevent – whether or not it’s a race.
The answer to your question is simple. As our college-age kids have told me, there’s nothing cool about geocaching.
Sure, it’s fun, adventurous, good for you and enlightening, but definately not cool.
That’s why I like it. 8)

Actually, we have 3 active reviewers. My review region is Iowa.
Why is it, when you see a photo of a nudist, they are always the people who you would least like to see a nude photo of?

I’ve been reading them daily. It gives me a wonderful insite on the issues that have become hot topics over the past several years since I “left”.
Thraxman! Welcome back. (For those who don’t recognize the name, he was one of the founders of the WGA.)
And yes, I’ve been reading this topic too, but as someone said, who said what gets to be confusing because they’re grouped by question instead of by candidate.

Locations for Trudy Camping?
If your question is, “What is the definition of Trudy Camping?” the answer is (originated in these forums by Trudy and the Beast): staying in a hotel, motel or Bed & Breakfast.

ps, I wonder how these would work on our children 🙂
Or my wife at the shopping mall?
Or on me? The one on my ankle is starting to rub.

The cache was reworked long ago because of my realizing that if Kbraband could drive so far and be fooled why not tweak it ‘correctly’ so I can truly state “I did not lie”.. “everyone else did”..

..Yes, but just to restate what I posted elsewhere, I enjoyed being fooled. I thought it was a great, creative joke.
Looks like fun. Maybe we can ask the WGA Board if the WGA can sponsor one of the $25 spots at the top of the web page to show our support of the event and of Midwest geocaching.
The DVR is set to record. Thanks for the heads-up.
I was quite surprised to find a Garmin 60CSx under the tree. I never realized how much the technology has improved since I bought my eMap in early 2000. Now maybe I’ll have to take new readings for a couple of my caches that seem to be off a bit.
We didn’t do a cruise but we stayed on New Providence a few weeks ago and found a virtual in Nassau (actually on Paradise Island) that was in a neat place at Atlantis, not far from where the cruise ships moor.
Mine is supposed to go to Nuevitas, Cuba. The closest cache is 93 miles away. Here’s wishing you lots of luck with that journey, little TB.

Here’s what I said about electrical equipment caches in my reviewer’s blog, including correspondence from johnnygeo: http://iowaadmin.blogspot.com/2006/08/more-discussion-about-electric-box.html
