I just took a look at it (I’m not your reviewer, but I’m the reviewer for Iowa) and yes, your reviewer Bec did post a note to you about a problem with your cache — it’s too close to an existing cache. You need to return to the cache page and look at the note she posted for you.
February 2001. What do I win?

Can you get individual eggs out using this method?
Yes, a camping egg holder takes up a lot of room in the cooler.
If you need to, yes. All but one of my yokes remained intact. But I scrambled them all before using anyway.
Regarding omelets in zip lock bags, here’s a recipie I got from the JetBoil site. I tried this out earlier this year and it worked well and tasted great. I recommend thicker bag because I did have one tear open. I cracked 10 eggs before leaving home and put them in a Nalgene widemouth water bottle. Much easier than trying to use eggs in the shell on a kayaking trip. π
Ziplock Bag Omelets (Camp Eggs)
Ingredients with precise measurements:
2 eggs
1 tbs. grated cheese
1 tbs. finely chopped green peppers
1 tbs. finely chopped onion
salt and pepperDirections: Fill cooking cup to the max safe line (1 cup) with water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low boil. Place all ingredients in zip-lock snack bag and remove as much air from the bag as possible and zip closed. Place bag in boiling water. After about 1 minute remove bag from water and move mixture around in bag and place back in boiling water. Repeat about ever minute until eggs are cooked to your liking (about 5 mins).
I’m glad you enjoyed the hike up to GC3B1 Pike Powder Hike. Yes, it is Wisconsin’s oldest “active” cache. It is also Wisconsin’s oldest cache. It was not Wisconsin’s first cache. That distinction lies with a cache south of Sheboygan GC3D that was never found or maintained.
To repeat and clarify my request, I need someone to pick up the WGA banner and brochures from Auntienae (Renee) at Greenfield City Hall 7325 West Forest Home Avenue, Greenfield, WI, either today, Thursday or Friday, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. I’m not able to get there during those hours. If you wish to take the items to your home, I can pick them up later from you. Please let me know.
Attention, WGA members in the Milwaukee area: Your help is needed!
Is there a WGA member who can pick up a WGA banner and brochures from AuntieNae and arrange to deliver it to me at the Gathering Waters Festival this Saturday morning? I’m having trouble contacting Renee to get this arranged and we’re running out of time.I just sent PMs to Team Deejay, hack1of2 and beezers958, so check your WGA account for information about this weekend’s event. Thanks for volunteering! And if anyone else would like to help, please let me know.
Auntienae, please check your PM inbox as well for a message about getting the WGA banner from you. Thanks!

For some historical perspective, here’s an article I wrote about LNT a few years ago. It was originally published on the WGA website but I can no longer find it here so this is a link to a reprint on Maine’s geocaching website: http://www.geocachingmaine.org/forum/showthread.php?364-Leave-No-Trace
Great! Thanks for offering to help. I’ll be there to get things set up but I’ll need your help to staff the tent during the event because I will be volunteering over at the beach with Laacke & Joy’s kayak and canoe demos. I’ll be in touch soon with Hack1of2 and Beezers, and I look forward to meeting you. Anyone else able to help? It’s a lot of fun.
KenFrom Wisconsin DNR boating regulations: “Every boat propelled by muscular power and every sailboat not equipped with a motor, when under way at any time from sunset to sunrise, shall carry ready at hand a lantern or flashlight showing a white light which shall be exhibited in sufficient time to avoid collision.”
I carry a waterproof flashlight and attach it to the front deck. I also have marine grade reflective tape running the length of my kayak on both sides, as well as reflective tape on both sides of both paddle blades and reflective areas on my PFD. I would not recommend using red/green lights because it’s simply extra gear to carry (and possibly fail) and you might get mistaken for a power boat, which means an oncoming boater may not be as inclined to avoid you. And never activate a strobe light unless you’re signaling an emergency situation.
06/11/2010 at 3:36 pm in reply to: WGA to hold Regional Event in Milwaukee-Gathering Waters #1927843It was just pointed out to me that the date of the event is listed incorrectly on the WGA Events page. It is actually June 12 — Saturday — tomorrow, not Sunday. I sent a note to Jeremy and zuma to see if this can be corrected.
