My favorite: Should’ve_Bought_Him_The_Tie. If you remember that TV commercial, it’s a perfect name.
From my experience, the best PRA for vectoring came in the form of a three-packet triangulated cross-switched single sideband. This is augmented by a transceiver bolted into the luggage rack of a 51M Packard and power-relayed with a resnatron so I could autotune the 300G without using a diversity filter.
And yes, I have no idea what I’m talking about.

This is a good idea. We could pool the collective knowledge of WGA members after each seeks, and hopefully obtains, permission to place their geocache.
I’m not a licensed ham operator, but I was once a ham radio historian.

I started thinking we were never going to find the owner of the hat. Then I read the newspaper story about the Olympics marathon race, in which a “defrocked priest” attacked the leader of the race. Hmm, could it be that we found part of his “frock”?

Good article. Thanks for the link. I also like the photo — a good ol’ Garmin eMap.
Mine reads 59,906 miles. I have reset it a couple of times, but not lately.

Actually, it fits quite nicely.

I’m glad to hear that someone in addition to me is old enough to have watched filmstrips in junior high instead of videos in middle school.
Ah ha! Good sleuthing, Tie. Now, does anyone know who she is?
What? I have no cooties. (They have no place to hide on my head.)
I heard from Cheesehead Dave and the found hat is not his. That leaves the mystery open. Please check with your friends who attended the WGA Picnic to see if anyone is missing the hat depicted in the photo below.
For those of you who love to solve mysteries, perhaps you could scan the picnic photos listed here ( http://wi-geocaching.com/cgi-bin/slide2/album.pl?album=00000001/picnic_04;ph oto_height=500 ) to see if you can identify who might be the owner of this hat.

…and the rest of the story can be found in logs of submarine series caches in Manitowac and Two Rivers.
Both examples look very similar. :}

I think it might be woodsman. Although he hasn’t hidden any geocaches, he posted a no find at one of the first geocaches in the state, and I see that he is still active, having logged on as recently as two months ago. http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=40421b83-bc01-4d79-88cf-5f7b5cf25f0c
I wanted to check out the chat. I checked into the chat room at 9:00 p.m. Sunday but there was no one else there. Then a bunch of maddening pop up windows started opening, so I quit Explorer and ran an Ad-aware scan to remove the newly implanted spyware that came from the chat site. Can the chat can be hosted on a less invasive site?
I know, whine, whine.
