We currently have 9 geocaches placed between the Hartford and Delafield areas. I have a few sitting at home waiting to be placed as soon as the snow melts and it gets a bit warmer out (they’ve been my winter projects)!
As a WGA board member placing caches and keeping up on the maintanince not only shows responsibility but full involvement in the game and giving back to the geocaching community.
here 🙂
Packer game with Kelly’s family in Delafield hoping to swing by a few caches in the Waukesha area then heading by my family in Menomonee Falls for dinner.
I’ve never been on an inflatable one but for the prices you speak of they seem pretty steep consider I got my brand new river kayak for only $80. Just some input.
To answer your question beccaday we are taking 41/45 to 51 basically a straight shot up to Bayfield.
Well I know what I’m doing this afternoon
We’d love to offer any of our photographs from http://geocachingadventure.tumblr.com for the newsletters use. 🙂

My first thought was – let’s do a CITO there! They obviously have a need for a mustard pull and while we probably won’t get them to change their mind, they may look upon geocaching as a positive and helpful thing. They could even come and talk to us about invasive species while we were working. We couldn’t get any smilies for caching but we could get an attended icon for a CITO. Which parks are they talking about specifically?
I think beccaday has a great idea and it’s something worth discussing. As it may not change their minds it allows us to show that we are willing to help out in any way possible. Giving back to the communities as much as we can is such an important thing.
It’s a trick question! I’ll just pull a MacGyver on this one 🙂
Always have to stop at the candy store for some salt water taffy! http://www.doorcountycandy.com
I use to live in the Third Ward of Milwaukee while attending MIAD and I was always scooping out areas for good geocaches. It can be tricky in an urban environment especially with all the muggles around. Every now and then though my “geo senses” as I like to call them would start to kick in. It all comes down to taking the time to hunt for the perfect spot. I’ve found a few large urban containers in parks and under bridges etc.
Communication is key for promoting the WGA. At events such as the West Bend Cache Bash WGA members working the table or board members should be talking with as many people as possible. Spreading word of the WGA and our events taking place. Reaching out to those who don’t attend events regularly for those of us placing caches we should be placing the WGA page link under the cache information section. Making it more accessible for every day geocachers to come across the WGA website.
Excellent question Mister Greenthumb! I understand your concern for making your selections. I personally love helping with the events. Helping lay caches for the picnic was a lot of fun! I am also on the committee for the camp out this upcoming May hoping to lend a hand wherever I can there. So doing my fair share of work will be nothing but fun for me. As far as attending the events, I can honestly say that I will be at every upcoming event, unless there is an unexpected emergency. I feel all board members should be at every WGA event.
