Yes. Discussion is happening to have hopefully half of them listed. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the chippewa valley is cache dense so no way to get another 80 in here, but the goal is to have about half count toward numbers.
My two cents. I ran it and enjoyed it. As I said in my log, it is one of those caches that you will either laugh or cry about. Do I understand being ticked off? Sure. But in the end, you have no one to blame but yourself. Think about it. Anyone worth their weight in salt would research the cache, the area, the terrain before doing something that is reported to be that grueling. If you DID research, you would have figured something was up. The people that purchased a few hundered bucks for gear without researching it? Man, ya know? I don’t have a lot of sympathy. One key to woodsman/personship is to know your surroundings. Did people get taken for a ride? If they let themselves; be it by not researching and by taking this thing we do too seriously (remember, it is a game and recreation). I drove several hours for it, left my wife and kids at home that day, got “tricked” like everyone else, but in the end, so what? It was fun in its own way and I can now claim to have done a liars cache. I still want a trail patch for it though!!!
Signed up for mine two nights ago. My dad, my sister-in-law, maternal granfather and paternal grandmother all have this. More than happy to raise the awareness. Great idea!
I don’t know; a good freeze might make the low road more passable and make the cliff faces more dangerous. Bright side, the freeze will keep the bugs down (of course parkas will do that too) and make the buckthorn sting worse… WOn’t have the heat to contend with though. Lucky you!!! Still think I am dehydrated… I am serious about the freeze and the low road though.
Yup, me too!
Yup. Today.
I posted on the Gauntlet page a note suggesting LO do patches for us that have braved the Gauntlet. Da Bloodhound was gonna do some silkscreen mockups! Here is my idea to get this started!!! 😉
Err, how do you import a jpg?
Just did it on 7/14 and all I can say is… Good luck ya’ll!
*&#$ I’m out. Niece’s birthday party that weekend in Shakopee. I could run the gauntlet, but I still have to go home at the end… I can’t wait to hear.
My kids and I just finished the Fairfax Park series that onesearching2find put together. It took us 2.5 hours but one of us is very short and only 3 years old, so… This was well done and a lot of work. We just had time to go for one of the tower ridge ones yesterday before the rain. A LOT OF WORK and a fantastic gift.
As of 9 am this morning we have over 900 people who have registered; including 11 from California, 6 from Tennessee, an bunch from Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, Georgia, Kentucky and Ohio.
Thank you for all you who have come up to participate. I, personally, cannot get over this. I keep giggling when I think of it. Those of you who know me, giggling is not a pretty sight!!!!

Nice job! It is beautiful!
