That’s a double milestone of sorts! The comma club and earning the Mega Event Souvenir.  Congrats and best of luck on your next!

COTM is placed right on the home page and is explained thoroughly on the site. I think we just need to promote it more on FB and in person.

I am looking for the oldest active cache for the following counties: Chippewa, La Crosse and Washburn. Can someone either let me know what they are or show me how to figure it out. TIA

I am guilty of being behind!! I do save all finds on my “saved list”. A wonderful part of the c:geo app for Android. I also have a note book that I write notes and the location of the hide for logging later. Right now I am a little over 20 finds behind, but I was on staycation this weekend and didn’t want to use my precious time logging my finds. I hope to have them entered by mid-week. There were 2 that I did log as missing or needs maintenance while I was there incase I get side tracked this week.

No bribe coming from the Cacher. If I cannot win by merit and vote there is always next election.

I have gotten feedback that my above post is not written the way I intended it to be taken. In no way was this intended to call out or put the reviewers on blast. My point was that I think the game is great the way it is, and I couldn’t think of anything I would like to change. I cannot even begin to comprehend the time and effort that our reviewers put into what they do. I unintentionally cast them in a bad light and want to ensure all that this was not my intention.

Our reviewers deserve the utmost respect from all cachers and we need to use the avenues given to us to submit questions and  concerns regarding their decisions.

Please forgive me the poor wording and lack of detail in my above post. It was never intended to call anyone out or make anyone feel unappreciated.

I have learned that I should have addressed my concerns with one of our approachable reviewers and worked towards a resolution with one of them.

I think my first 100 days would be best spent immersing my self in the culture. Picking the brains of other board members, learning the by-laws, learning the personalities of the other members. No   t to say I would be a wall flower, but I would not come charging in making it the Kelly Show. I think there is great value in observing first, and learning the way the machine runs.

As one of nine I understand that majority rules. My ideas and opinions are just that, MINE, that doesn’t make them the best or right, just my perspective on the topic. Of course if I voice an opinion or idea I will believe in it and stand behind it, but there are times when discussed with others and dissected we can see the short comings of our idea or accept why the group went a different direction. If my idea is not the popular vote I can and will gladly support the winning idea and give 100% effort in that direction.

If we look at failure as a failure, then we have failed; but if we look at it in a different way it does not have to be a failure! Just because we don’t succeed does not mean we have failed. For instance, I set a goal for my self to lose X amount of pounds by X day. I did not reach that goal. If I look at it as a failure it has a negative connotation and will breed negativity.  But, if I look at the things that caused me not to reach my goal and figure out how to overcome those obstacles I have created an environment that will breed positivity  and lead to better results. I like to look at the glass half full and always see a lesson in every situation.

                              Failure is NOT an option!!

WSQs are by far my favorite, but I enjoy any cache that takes me somewhere new and interesting. I love the adventure of the hunt, to me it isn’t about the numbers, it is about the journey. It may be a simple pill bottle in a sign, but if there is something to see, or learn it is worth it. I also like the long hike on a trail and bonding with my co-cacher/s. Ok, let’s face it, any cache that needs to be found is my favorite!
