We are upping the ante, there will be more than 50 new permanent caches, yep – you asked for it and your gonna get it!! 😯 Better get your walking shoes ready. Oh and by the way, Friday the 13th night… is going to be a haunted, alien filled night of superstition and fun with a Wherigo possibly thrown in the mix. Stay tuned…. 😈 😉
I just told the kids and they are “stoked”… they are hoping for reflective tacks and flasher 😉
OMG!!!!!!!!!
(most people over 30yrs old, over a C cup, or more than 50#s over weight REALLY should not wear tube tops!!!!)
^^^ just so no one gets upset… I am all three of those!!! oh, and I don’t wear tube tops and haven’t since I hit puberty!! lolI have got to send this one to my Mom!!! 🙂
yup, thats it, field notes (sorry, i am technologically challenged!!).. although I would love to know how to remove those darn things from my gps!!! (I can delete my finds, but my field notes stay)
opps, sorry, drifted 😯
I actually visited one of my caches yesterday and photo’d the logs, there are names on there that haven’t even posted on GC.. you know they are most likely in it for the fun and that is fine with me.. but, I do prefer at least a little something in my logs, more then only “TFTC” . (Especially when I ask finders to include something extra right in the cache description!!)
I could make my caching so easy if I just plugged my gps into the computer and downloaded my finds from my gps to gc.com, I have an option to “type” in descriptions on my find log in my gps, but really, who wants to arrow through all that out in the field?? I prefer to type in everything later that day reliving the experience. I wonder if that is where the TFTC logs come from… just downloads straight from gps’s.If a cache is a simple park and go or really has nothing of interest or in hiding style I give the TFTC, quick find.. or something similiar… but the more elaborate the cache set up, the more difficult D or T, or the more interesting cache site gets a much more interesting log from me. Some fun examples:
GC1PQPF
GC1TPZA (April 6th)
GC28K69
there are many more… and I have gotten quite a few emails and messages of appreciation from the cache owners… which also helps promote keeping up with the fun logs. And, even more than that… I can look back over my old logs and relive the experience… it is like an online diary for me… :). Imagine… 10-20-30yrs from now… reading my logs to my grandchildren and letting them know what their parents did when they were kids 🙂 Priceless 🙂
(ok, sorry, babbled long enough!!)WTG Sandlanders… Mister and Mrs!!! Here is to 900 more!!!!!!

The real question is, What would Scooby Doo for an ammo can?
If he was a cacher, he would probably give up some Scooby snacks!!!
Congrats Labrat… was a wonderful milestone on the perfect weekend!!!
I would suffer sunstroke and ticks, jump creeks and try to climb a tree for a ammo can… oh, wait, I already do that to just sign a piece of paper in a can… hmmmmmmmmm
Maybe Clean out a garage or storage unit for the oppurtunity to score a can or more???

I just saw WisKid’s archival note.
The cache may still be retrievable.
The sign says entrance may be granted by the Installation Commander.
It may take just a phone call and possibly a GCU geocaching brochure and this cache could be out of there.I’d be up for the job as long as there’s a free ammo can in it for me. 🙂
LOL… I just wonder what cachers would do for an ammo can?? Hmmmmm sounds like a good thread… ” What would you doo oooo for a Ammo can”
(thread started under General 😀 )I saw a bit on Fox 6 Milwaukee, caching with Condella about a year or so ago. I researched it a bit and I was interested but couldn’t validate the cost of a gps on something I wasn’t sure we would do regularly. Later in 2009 after seeing some info on the West Bend Cache Bash I decided I would give it a shot, I signed up for the 2010 Bash in Novemeber 2009 (#244, I get a goodie bag!!) and put a Handheld GPS on my Xmas list. I must have been naughty as I didn’t get a GPS :(. My store closed in Jan. and I was with out a job and had plenty of time and I didn’t want to become a couch potatoe. So in Feb. I saw a used gps on craiglist and took the plunge. On Valentines day I took my son out and we made our first find GC1FW6T, we hit a few that day, my son even found a Fallen Heros Geocoin and we both fell in love with the sport. I have introduced several of my kids friends, my BF, and a few people I had worked with to the sport… we have alot of fun converting the muggles!! Now, 4 short months later, we have met some great people through caching, we have almost 250 finds, 1 placement, 9 adoptions and some great experiences that we will remember for the rest of our lives and we are looking forward to many, many more!!!

This land is not far from Volk Field (which is all National Guard), especially as the drone flies. The change is status may be related to this news item from today http://tinyurl.com/2cqj7g6 . Here’s the headline, in case the link breaks: “Wisconsin National Guard looks to build drone base in Juneau County”.
When this cache is archived, will there be a Rescue Mission? 😯
Maybe if you knock on the door and ask really nice 🙂
