h. Note that points can only be scored on a particular cache once EXCEPT for rule number a. There is no limit to the number of people who can score points by finding one of these caches.
this was left out of the official rules. would you elaborate on it please.
I think there are people who think once a lonely cache is scored it is out of play.on a similar note, if you log a DNF and get points awarded, but you just can’t let it go and chase after it again, can you get more points if you find it the next time out or would your score be adjusted?

Congratulations to the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor on the recent milestone and anniversary. Thank you for your encouragement in making this a habit instead of a hobby. Little did I know a year ago when I first took Sagasu Dan out for a quick intro that it would turn out this way.

OK last night I got one of these:
Needless to say I was very embarrassed (broke into an instant sweat)…..I guess this is what all Geocaching Men use in the woods….I must be doing it wrong then cuz so far I haven’t needed one of these.

isn’t that a gravy boat for the campsite ??

Had a family gift exchange yesterday. When asked what I wanted to get as a gift, I said an ammo box. Well, I got one. A really nice ammo box. Not a surplus box but a quality box that someone would use to store, of all things, AMMO. 😯
They said they looked at Fleet but the ones there were old and rusty.
Guess they really didn’t understand what I wanted it for. 😀 😀NOW, do I use it for my hunting ammo or do I use it as I had intended???

About 2 years ago, the wife and I thought that we may have a chance for an evening out in the future as our youngest was turning 9 and our middle child at 17 can certainly watch out for the two of them for a night.
That all changed with the birth of another child in March.Looks like that night out will have to wait.

Man, I should have read this forum before going out today. Found two caches that haven’t been logged since april, and June. Oh, well, I know there are others out there so “I’M IN”

I’ve noticed this when clicking on the cache name for some of the recent logs on caches I know have been published for some time (viewing notes, finds, DNFs, Maintenance logs). When clicking on the “view log” it comes up fine. 😯 ❓ 😯

I recieved two more of my codes about 15 minutes after my previous post. the last one trickled in about 2:25am.
I guess getting one right away and not the others made me think something was amiss.
Patience,patience,patience.

I tried to retrieve 4 activation codes and by the time I got done and into my email one was there. I think it was the last one I entered but the other three have not made it yet.
my question to for the geocoinshop is : if the button says
“Retrieve Code(s)”
why don’t they have instructions to enter multiple codes??

I’m not sure how far you want to snowshoe or how “winter friendly” the caches are but the Wiouwash trail has a number of caches available as well as the entire Winneconne/Butte Des Morts/ Oshkosh area. Some are PUZZLE caches and may take some research but should be well worth the effort.

Other than deer gun season (admittedly there are quite a few knuckleheads in the woods during that season)
Actually, the date of this log was during the late antler-less harvest that ran from December 6-9.
With that said, they should be aware of what the potential hazards are whenever entering posted public hunting areas no matter what state they may be caching in. While it is true that bow hunters and small game/bird hunters are dedicated, they also need to be in closer range of their target. Sadly during gun deer season where rifles are allowed, there is always potential for a long distance shot or a “sound” shot where “I thought I heard a deer” is the excuse for shooting a partner or passerby.
We had a hunter death in our area when the 18 year old hunter in blaze orange was cold and wrapped himself in a brown and white blanket and took a walk. His grandpa mistook him for a deer and shot him 😥 😥
It is easy to say that there were mistakes made in this scenario but the culmination of the mistakes made for a very sad situation.Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.
Not sure which ones Splash is talking about but those I have disabled should be enabled by the weekend as I have the approval of the WCPD now. There are several that could be better with a little frozen ground to walk on. (not that it’s guaranteed the ground is frozen 😉 )

Thanks for the update on these Setoncachers TBs. I am sure they will be happy to know that they will be moving soon.
Please don’t think that I am down on anyone as I sometimes have coins or bugs for extended periods when I just cannot get out caching. It happens. I was just concerned as I stated in previous posting that some of the TBs in these events haven’t moved for months and months. Maybe some ARE in virtual storage there.Get better soon Renee. There is alot of that kind of ailment out there and I agree that if one is not feeling well, and you are able to, stay home and care for yourself. You and your coworkers will appreciate it.

I truly understand the virtual storage for coins but there are “Travel Bugs” that are not traveling as they are supposed to be because they are “stalled” in the event.
Personally, I have no vested interest in the movement of these bugs, but the Seton travel bugs are part of some students schoolwork. I find it a disappointment that these are not moving as the students would like them to be.Here is my Plea….. If you have one of these bugs, please move it along.
