I hate math. My new cat, Becket, snores. It was a nice day. I saw a turtle, a deer, a dragon fly, a hawk and some pretty flowers.

Camie is Kylie’s cat and went to live with her in her new apartment in Middleton (traitor)….so Becket is my new guard cat.

I feel like we should all give a “BBG” type update – so here it goes…
It is raining here also…sigh…I am having a host mom appreciation soup & salad tonight & am about to make the chocolate mousse which will be for dessert. Planning a day trip to Door County with my students week after next. Has anyone done the Washington Island Cherry Train tour and is it worth it? The day will end with a fish boil (recommendations?). Doing an ATV weekend – so it had better not rain. Our new cat, Becket, snores. I recorded him. Beautiful yellow finches at my feeder this morning – which makes me happy. No Coopers Hawk. I have placed 11 students already for next year – but looking for more host families. My oldest son graduates with his masters from DePaul University in two weeks. I already hate road construction. And lastly, I could not figure out what to do with this cache yesterday – GC4H6F3 – found the towers and thought I understood, but apparently not. That’s all folks.

raining. The grass is too wet to cut. There are 13 more days of school. There are 12 school days ’til middle school promotion. We still have two orchestra concerts. There have been 3 visits to the pool since Friday or $62 of the $240 already recouped. I finally made it to 100 finds this year. The ladies decided not to see Tomorrowland. I wasted $5 to see Mad Max. The rhubarb cake I baked was much better the second time around. A Coopers Hawk has learned the bird feeders are an easy place to find a meal. I wonder why they do not use their beak in the kill. It is interesting to watch them squeeze their prey. The terrorists, rabbits, have multiplied. We saw two kits yesterday. The neighbor has her husband pee in a bottle and then pours it around her garden to deter the rabbits. It doesn’t work, but I think he eats a lot of asparagus. Did I mention it is raining?
I see the weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend……if you like 50 and wet.
No need to watch a soap opera today – not that I would anyway…but this was quite the update. I find the Coopers Hawk quite fascinating! I am guessing it is the asparagus that negates the pee method. I once had a neighbor who did the same with her husband and it worked well. Shoot the rabbits. They are worthless. Yeah on promotions – even if it is middle school. How do you bake a cake the second time? I am intrigued.

Oh my – that was quite entertaining and I absolutely enjoyed your log. I wish I could have been there when you kept not being able to find your geomobile. Been there! I see that huffinpuffin2 logged that cache a couple of years ago. Must be a goodie!

Said good-bye to my first foreign exchange student this morning – she is heading back to Georgia (as in the country)…..a sad host family – which is good. I really dislike this time of year….my heart breaks a little more with each departure.
