I love planning vacations, whether I take them or not. Weâre heading to Breckenridge this summer with my family. My kiddos will be climbing a 14er, sadly I donât think I would be up for that challenge. But Iâm hoping for an 11,000 summit at least.
Breckenridge would be fun in the summer. Â We were just there skiing.

Interesting thread. Â I like everything – just depends the mood and the weather. Â If it is cold, cold, cold and even if it is hot, hot, hot – those PnG caches get me out – but also allow me to lavish in the heat/ac of my geomobile. Â Probably my absolute favorite is a State Park full of a variety of hides where I can just park the geomobile and get on a trail and get lost. Â I don’t mind the bike trails either. Â We will bike one way grabbing every other cache and then bike back and pick up the ones we skipped. Â Great exercise.
Currently – it is winter – and I love working on puzzles – nothing beats a good puzzle – especially when I the light bulb goes on. Â I have had puzzles that have taken me years to solve – and the satisfaction is fabulous.
We have been to so many places we would never have known about had it not been for a geocache. Â I love this element of geocaching also. Â We were recently in Jerusalem and there is a cache hidden at every gate. Â None were difficult hides. Â However, the old city was a maze and knowing how to get to any one gate was a piece of cake because each had a cache!
Favorite all time cache – the one we just did in Petra, Jordan – where we hired donkeys and climbed a steep piece of rock! Â The view at the top was 360. Â It doesn’t get much better!
Currently, we are working on a Cheesy Challenge (will not mention the CO’s name) – and we have been working on this challenge for nearly five years! Â Getting closer. Â There will be a time of celebration. Â I think we have 11 to go.

I just checked. I have 31 unfound ? within 10 miles of home: I own 1, I have solved 11, two are disabled, four I have given up on. I do like the new âadvanced searchâ. After talking with the ârescueâ, the kitty will not be coming to my home. They require cats under 1 to be rescued with a friend the same age. I am not prepared for two of them running around. I told them if he is still there after his birthday next month to call me back. I love how ârescuesâ come with terms and conditions. I might as well buy a cat from a breeder, there is less of a hassle.
Yes, I was told that I was unfit to adopt a rabbit from the Humane Society. I was astounded! I have raised rabbits my whole life! I used to breed and show them and know quite a lot about them. I wonder if the rabbit that I was going to adopt lived or had to be put down.
My wife and I were âhighly discouragedâ from attempting to adopt a few years ago. Both local agencies told us the same basic story. Us â Weâre interested in giving a child in need a great loving home. Them â But you already have 2 children. Us â Correct. Weâd be willing to take a couple more and weâre already experienced so you can see the environment theyâll be going to. Them â But you can just have more of your own. Us â We could, but donât you have children waiting for a loving home? Them â We donât understand why youâd want to adopt when you can have your own. Us â Because weâre Christians and youâre a Christian organization trying to place children. We see it as a win-win. You have children in need and weâre willing to provide. Them â But weâre really geared toward people that canât have their own for various reasons (i.e. same sex couples included even though this were Christian organizations). Us â So letâs get this straight. You have children that are waiting and weâre willing, but because we can have more of our own we really donât fit your model. Them â Correct. Itâs very unusual for couples like you to want to adopt.
Instead they have adopted two of my foreign exchange students and have been an amazing host family! Give me the number of that organization CJ and I will call them and let them know about their loss – which was my gain!

And so page #100 goes down in history – never to be seen again – until the next major website update, that is! Â Probably won’t be for a year or two.

Just logged our mystery cache #1000 â thatâs a lot of ?âs. I remember when we used to ignore those types! Now if I could just figure out those CJ puzzlesâŠ.
Just let me know which one(s) and Iâll give you a nudge. I donât think âItâs right there #2âł is right there right now though.
I still cannot figure out It’s Right There #1. Â I even visited those coordinates today – a very familiar location because there use to be a cache there, but I don’t think that had anything to do with what I need. Â Oh well. Â Sigh. Â List is forthcoming. Â Check your e-mail shortly….I am sick this week so on a puzzle binge…

I hope not. I can understand that they want the animals to go to good homes. The two animal rule is interesting, why would they pressure a family to have more critters than they feel they can handle? They also asked a lot a questions about declawing the cat. When did declawing a catâs front paws become torture? I am looking for an indoor companion for the children. I am starting to think Madelyn is going to need a companion when Hannah goes to college in four years.
How about a foreign exchange student? Â I am much more easygoing than the humane society. Â Let’s talk!

I also checked out the book The Art of Labor from the APL. Â Why you ask? Â It’s for a puzzle cache!

I did found five puzzles caches today and one multi. Â The multi made me laugh. Â None of the puzzles were CJ’s because I can’t get those solved.

Iâll be heading to Kansas City, MO on March 19 if anyone has travel bugs that need to move west. Email me through the website if you need me.
And when you return, you will not be in Kansas anymore!

NYC is going to get hit. Â My office (just outside of NYC) is closing at 1 p.m. today and will also be closed tomorrow in anticipation. Â We need some snow here.

The kids are off today. They are still sleeping. I wanted to vote for 5. I guess that is a good problem.
I knew exactly which four I wanted to vote for – looking forward to the results! Â Voting is so much fun!

I really want it to get warm. Â However, I did get new wind chimes for Christmas – Corinthian Bells. Â I hung them out Saturday and have been hearing them ever since (so have the neighbors)….so the winds have been put to good use.
