    New Year’s Resolutions eh?
Here are mine (in no particular order):
    Finish the Iowa Delorme Challenge

Find a cache in ALL of Iowa’s Counties

Find ALL of Iowa’s Earthcaches (I’ve only got 12 left)

    Find 1000 total Iowa caches.

    Shouldn’t be too hard…should it? 😕

Hello there! Even to this day, finding metal boxes in the woods makes me happy, but I can think of two instances where my excitement overcame my usual reserved attitude.

The first time was the infamous Delorme pg. 104 cache, Superior Falls. After stressing out about this cache for probably 3 months, because at the time, it was the only cache on the entire page (so I had to find it). So, after driving north from Park Falls and coming up with the find. I let loose with the loudest expletive in my entire life. An expletive of Happiness.

The second time was this past Saturday. I was caching in Menominie, and I found myself finding cache after cache that Zuma! got the ftf on. So as I approached ‘Giant Chair’ I really thought it’d be no different, till I looked at the log book and it was totally blank. Getting a FTF in Zuma’s backyard equals the second loudest expletive of my life.
    An expletive of Happiness.
    😀

A few years ago after recieving an electric pencil sharpener from Mr. TE for Christmas I realized he really needed help figuring out what to get me. So I let him know that the local massage lady offers a Dec. special… 6 for the price of 5. This is the third year in a row I have gotten this wonderful gift. I go every other month so it lasts all year. He says he doesn’t need anything for Christmas so I am still looking for the perfect gift… for the guy that has everything…

    Mrs. TE

May I change what I want for Christmas? I want a local massage lady… woo hoo!! 😀

It might be another 1000 caches before we figure it all out, though.

LOL…same here….I say this as I’m even now downloading it again (this time to my new computer). I decided to give it one more shot. I don’t have a working Palm but I would like to get all those 10-12 caches on each page automatically rather than by writing it up myself. I cache with cliff notes at the moment with about 10 caches per sheet of paper but it takes hours to plan a trip of 30-40 caches.

EDIT …let me say this, it is not starting very well as the initial GSAK splash screen will not go away and the old thinking cursor is working overtime…in other words the program will not open. I wonder if it is Vista compatible?

I run GSAK on my laptop and the laptop’s OS is Vista and it seems to run OK.

I’ve got myself a problem with GSAk too, but it has nothing to do with paperless caching. I’ve appealed to everyone I can think of (Justin, GC forums, and Iowa forums). I want to run the macro thing to make my stats in my GC profile look really fancy and detailed like Bandits…. but I can’t figure it out. I have zero patients, so if it doesn’t work the first time, I get really frustrated. Help??

p.s. I’ve already heard the ‘go to GSAK forums and do what they say’ thing. Isn’t there a ‘Macro’s for Dummies’ out there?

    Woo Hoo!

    Awesome!
I know you were talking about getting one set up in Iowa; nice to see it finally up and running.
Do you accept guesses and Photoshop edited pics?
I’m sitting at 26 EC’s and with luck will grab a couple (or 4 ) more yet in Dec/ Jan.

Here’s another incentive to get you to come Earthcaching over this way.

All I want for Christmas is……

10 Iowa Delorme pages and 15 Iowa Counties.

That isn’t too much to ask for… is it?

I was thinking more along the lines of:

    January’s Red Bull Event

I’d be willing to host one of those…. if I’d be able to sit still long enough. 😀

A few cachers in the SE Minnesota area have made their Geo-mobiles trackable. 😛

Outstanding, Brett!!! We just completed that cache a couple of days ago and I think we followed your footprints! That was a great milestone!

    Keep adding up them Earthcaches!

I couldn’t believe that you guys were there the same day I was! I must have just missed you. 🙁

Welcome to our happy family Kim. I’m hoping to make it down your way during the next couple of weeks (weather permitting). McGregor Iowa has a place that has Earthcache written all over it…..plus I need that Iowa Delorme page as well as the county. If you happen to see me swinging around, feel free to say ‘hi’. I’m the Caching Monkey. 😀

You’ve got to make your way over to my area. You haven’t gotten any of mine. As for my new one…. there is another EC about 6 miles away from it. That one is my second most favorite Earth cache that I’ve ever done. My most favorite was one up in Pierce County Wisconsin…. have you heard about that one? 😀

I just ran a PQ for Menominie and I got the e-mail within probably 30 seconds.

how would you like to be the owner of 956 caches…

Whilst caching in MN this fall, we first ran into caches by King Boreas. At that time he had abt. 1300 caches, now it’s over 1500. Even though some archived caches are in those stats…holy cow. How the heck do you even find 1500 places to put caches w/in a 100 mile radius of your home coords, let alone maintain them? That’s not a criticism, I’m just incredulous…

It is very easy to find 1500 places to put caches. There are plenty of communal junk yards and random dirt roads that don’t have caches.
