You’ve gotta be kidding me. This is the Green Bay area that we are talking about right? I was over that way during Christmas to clear the Door County Delorme Pages. I went after this TB hotel at cache at night. When I was looking for it, I was approached by this guy who was obviously on crack asking what I was doing and told me that us “Minnesota People” shouldn’t be over there ‘Theiving’. I told him what I was doing over there was patronizing the Motel Sux, buying gas, and generally supporting their economy.
I need to hit a cache the weekend of Good Friday in Oconto, that’s outside the restricted area right? Here’s my suggestion for your milestone. I realize it’s not SE Wisconsin, but the drive to this cache is Well Worth It!!

03/28/2007 at 1:42 am in reply to: My online log was deleted??? Are people really this nuts? #1872241I had a similar experience caching in Brooklyn Park Minnesota. Minnesota’s infamous ‘KB’ planted a virt at the Earle Brown Memorial Center. It was supose to an air field. Well, I went to GZ according to my GPS, no airfield, so I went to the hotel, came back to the area the next day, no airfield. I took a picture of the GPS screen showing that there was nothing at GZ. He deleted my log and had the nerve to tell me ‘…. how often are coordinates exact anyways?’ Therefore, I cache in Wisconsin.
He made me change the non-cacher part to novice cachers in order to get it approved. It should not be a mystery why I live in Minnesota but I do an overwhelming amount of my caching elsewhere. There is this twin cities ‘clique’ if you are not with them, your against them.
#1000…. Wooooo Hooooo! Outstanding Job Gary. Was ‘The Lair’ the cache for a grand?
Thanks for the 411 Ruth, I’ll be in Eau Claire the night of April 13th. Want to be at Robin’s Event bright and early so I get my free Bling!! 😀 Hopefully our paths will cross then!
Thank you!!! Sorry to have pestered you so many times about that cache.
Outstanding Job…. If you look at the standings, I’m currently #1 for out of state cachers looking to complete The Wisconsin Delorme Challenge. I live in Rushford Minnesota 😀
If you plan it, they will come!
‘It’s Easier to Get Forgiveness than Permission’
That’s the only caching policy that I follow. 😀
j/kAll this ‘policy’ talk sounds too much like my job. I think the only policy that should be in effect is the use of common sense.
I got the whole policy talking to when I put a cache in one of our State Forests. There were dimensional requirements. I pointed out to the reviewer that there were no ‘dimensional requirements’ for the illegal Hmong tree stands out there. Swallowed my pride finally and complied.
Resistance is Futile!
Dearest Mr. Saver,
Thank you for the FYI. I’ll try that tonight when I get home from work!!Outstanding job Dean!!! And remember, being called the Lacrosse Area King Boreas is not a compliment!!
Hope you come over my way and plant some in Houston County.

Now back to the subject, the strangest thing that I’ve ever seen while out geocaching was King Boreas up at Bjornson…. now that was strange! 😕
Otherwise, when I first started caching, I was up at Ely,MN and I found a deuce that someone dropped about 4 metres from the cache. I was hoping that was not a prerequisite of caching that’s for sure
I was out in the woods playing with my ‘Unit’. And yes, my ‘Unit’ is my favourite travel bug!
