Some of you may be interested in the stats listed on the Boulter page. Here is the page:

If you don’t care about numbers, it will be of no interest whatsoever. But for those who do, it is a lot like the old House of Brew site that use to be linked to the WGA site, before it was taken down. Lots of interesting stats.

Who in the world possibly cares about stats? 😀

On a totally unrelated topic, I see to even be included on this very exclusive list, that you must have at least 2000finds. Look like I better kick it in the bum a little.

My #’s in comparison to the big boys are nothing to get too excited about until I looked at total # of Earthcaches. My 34 puts me up there. Woo Hoo!

    Wow!!

I go out of town for a few days, and you two have gone crazy. What’s next? Dogs and Cats living in harmony, Great Auks flying happily and free in the Southwestern Wisconsin skies? I’m just honored that you two choose my cache for your big Milestone!!

Here’s my suggestions for your milestone:

Longfellow’s Challenge GC1494C- this one is down in Iowa somewhere. I understand that there is a little climbing involved? Easy one for a Bird (in’). 😀

Lost Falls GCNMJF- the most fun I’ve ever had caching.

Hemlock Draw GCWDEB- I couldn’t even find this one, and I still loved it.

Europe Bay GC65AB- would allow you guys to get some new Delorme pages.

If you decide on going after Pipestone, let me know, I want to go to. Earthcaches are awesome!!!

I’m thinking that all Wisconsin cachers should consider making a pilgrimage to this site. This is my Mecca. 😀

That guy on the right sure is one handsome devil!! 😀

I agree whole heartedly. I’ve become really partial to Earthcaches and this Earthcache is exceptional. If you visit this special place, be sure to take some time and visit the Interpretive Centre while there.

J EFF FOXWORTHY’S OBSERVATIONS ON WISCONSINITES

    29. You find minus twenty degrees “a little chilly.”

    30. You actually understand these jokes, and you forward them

I really am a Cheese Head!!

Our omnipotent Reviewer decided that it was just too close to another cache nearby. I’ll be going out tomorrow before work and moving the fore mentioned cache 82 feet further away.

I wanted to change the name of the cache to ‘Birdin’ Gets Her Christmas Goose Early’ but I thought the meaning might have gotten lost in translation.

It was an honour to be present as you guys hit the Big 8 0 0. I think it should be mandatory that you host an Event now for every milestone! 😀

Outstanding Job!! You are half way to your own Fillmore County Minnesota Gold Ammo Box!

in reply to: Pretending we live on the other side of the state? #1880453

I’m driving all the way to Waukesha tomorrow morning at 4am. I’m hoping to get another 4 or 5 Earthcaches down that way. As for your plans. That Minnesota City to Wabasha corridor is 11th letter. 2nd letter. territory. Good Luck! You’ll see evidence of why I don’t cache in Minnesota anymore than I do. As for the big petrol companies owing you guys? I hear tell that Royal Dutch’s new rig they are building off the Northeast coast of Newfoundland is called ‘The Caching Monkey’. I guess my assorted caching adventures are really helping boost their bottom line! 😀

It’s all in fun fellows! Right? Some people care about the numbers, and some don’t. But in ordered to give definitive awards, you need to utilize numbers. I’d compare it to hockey, the Maurice Richard trophy is given to the player each year with the most goals, not necessarily the league’s best goal scorer. The Art Ross Trophy is given to the player with the most points, not the league’s best scorer.
If you combine subjective as well as objective categories, you’ll have the best of both worlds. It’ll cater to cachers who like the #’s part of caching as well as though who like the experience itself.

    That’s just my $0.02 😀

How about a category something like, the most Wisconsin finds by a non-Wisconsin resident? Can you think of any Minnesota primates that might qualify for this particular award? 😀

These are 2 great caches. I’m sure if you announce that you are going, you will get some takers to join you. There are also several other good caches in the park. May be more tricky at night but if you have someone with you that has done them before, it can be done. Just don’t blow off paying the $2.50 park fee. They nailed a group of us in August.

Good idea, I posted a note on the Event page. Night caching is awesome!!
