Does anyone know exactly when this park closes? One of the pages says 10 and one says 9.

    Hey Justin:

Thanks for the 411 man. I didn’t realize that there was one going on there this weekend. I was going to Iowa because there was nothing else going on. I’ll see you in Waukesha Saturday!

Give me a banana please! πŸ˜€

I’m looking to get one of your awesome Blings!! I’ve got a few unactivated ones I can trade, I could also just buy one. I get the friend/Monkey discount right? πŸ˜€

in reply to: New Earth cache: Meteor Impact site #1880271

Oh my!! I’ve done one Earthcache before that dealt with an Impact feature, but it was not even close to being as well researched and written up as this one. I’ve got an Event in Iowa to attend Saturday… I can see myself hitting your Earthcache on Sunday. Very good job!!

You guys are still doing the five fingers data entry method for entering coordinates? I’ll bring my Palm TX and my laptop with me on the 27th and give you guys a quick overview of what I know about going paperless. πŸ˜€

I find this whole discussion funny. You guys are acting as though I am trying to incite some kind of civil disobedience. I agree, in the past, I did address this topic in a posting, but I didn’t post this topic. There is no need to censor one of your own Members. He is just voicing his opinion. I am also innocent of lobbying this member to post this topic too. I really don’t care anymore, in the past I admit to having talked with one Board Member about this subject, but it was just because I knew that he would be unbiased when it came to making a decision and I respected his opinion. I feel as though every single one of my postings on the WGA forums have been polite. The underlying sarcasm I apologize for, it’s just part of my sense of humor. I lost my original sense some time back as a part of a tragic geocaching accident, so I’m trying to rehabilitate it (unsuccessfully obviously).
In conclusion, I’d just like to tell you how this whole thing reminds me of someone I learned about when I was studying for my Naturalization Test. William Pitt the Elder was an 18th Century British Politician. Many feel as though he was really ahead of his time in his views of the Crown. He is most famous for one of his quotes. Although I’ll refrain from quoting it here, it is amazing to see that his idea is as relevant today as if was in the 1740’s.

Thanks for your time and I’m out πŸ˜€

in reply to: Cache in Lacrosse Event #1880009

I e-mailed the Lacrosse sports commission and offered my .02. I described my experience in Eau Claire in April (I forgot to mention that I met Dr. Bigstick out in the woods at 2am πŸ˜€ ). I told them how involved local Eau Claire cachers were in their Event (placing permanent caches) and how Robin hosted a CITO Event in conjunction with the CVB Event. I also mentioned that I’ve been known to travel 200 miles to attend a GC Listed Event. I agree, they missed a great opportunity here. List it on geocaching.com and the cachers will come!

I’m a proud member of the Saskatchewan Geocaching Association (Saskatoon is a fine town) and a member of the Iowa Geocaching Association, but not Wisconsin? That just seems odd, it not as though I ever cache in Wisconsin. On a totally unrelated subject, if you ever get a chance, you should hit Zuma and Da Bloodhound’s Badger State Challenge – 72 Counties. Very Cool!!

When my kids behave this way, I tell them to grow up and get over it. Unless you want to be able to vote or sit on the board, what does it matter to you? The designation of friend or member and $1.25 will get you fries at McDonald’s. The organization or club gets to make the rules. If you donÒ€ℒt like them, there is nothing forcing you to belong. If Minnesota and New York are organizations that you admire Γ’β‚¬β€œ join them. Why is it necessary to keep badgering around on this board about it. One of the biggest problems with society today is a minority group wants to change the policies for the whole. I think the straw poll already taken indicates the majority of the members donÒ€ℒt see a need to change. So why do you have to keep pressing the issue? One term I did learn on the CG forums for people who constantly post to be obnoxious are called trolls. Why arenaÒ€ℒt you thankful that you have a free resource that you can participate in?

I don’t remember the person that posted this topic as having ever posted on this particular subject before. He’s a member of the WGA and even he can see that this policy doesn’t seem right. As for your reference to a straw poll… I must have missed that one.

I personally had an interest in this topic for a while until I realized that there was some irrational attachment to the status quo. But before assuming that I initiated this topic (this time πŸ˜€ ) it is important to understand that DaBloodhound and lagrac are two different people. I’ll take my banana and go find an ammo box.

I believe at least one individual is starting to understand my perspective. May not agree with it but………………………..

    Just FYI, “
Member: Part of an aggregate or a whole; one of the persons composing a society, community, or the like.”
“Friend: One who has esteem and regard for another and his society. One who looks with favor upon a cause, institution, or the like.”

Sorry, “Friend” is like a second class citizen.

Amen Brother… oops I forgot, I’m not allowed to respond to posts as it relates to this subject.

Again, it is just a name. But if you have to have “Member” it is real easy. come live in the state.

Now why didn’t I think of that? ❓

I remember the sweet head Mistress of Team Roaming Pack describing a similar caching experience to me, and if I remember correctly, it was directly related to Zuma. She was out placing a B-Day cache in one end of a log and on the other end was a Zuma cache. πŸ˜€

I was just replying to the posting. Sorry, I didn’t realize that I wasn’t authorized to do that either.
