It is just so helpful to be able to know where the trails start, where to park, etc… For instance if anyone has done the bugline in Sussex – where the heck do you park? I want to go for GCXKV1 and a few others on that trail, but there does not seem to be an easy place to park and I don’t know where the trailheads are. At one point, it says .61 in or something to that effect, not that I mind walking – but I drove all over trying to find a short cut in, if there is none – that is cool too, but it would be nice to know. Not trying to call one cache out or cache hider, but this happens all the time – at least to me, maybe I listen to that crazy autorouter entirely too much or something! 🙄

Our GPS is known as the GYPSY because she makes me wander around like one…

Here is what I think I should invent. A GPS navigation system that is a total smarty pants and if you make a wrong turn, it tells you off! I could come up with a million funny things for it to say when you would make a wrong turn or not listen to the constant “recalculating or OFF ROUTE”! 😆

😆 😆 😆 Jeremy – I am cracking up – 😆 Take a hike Bozo, now dang that is a funny name and I actually LIKE it! HA! Yep, that is why I changed mine too, got some weird e-mails. Now the L represents my first name. Groundspeak will change, but you have to have a good reason. I do kind of agree that even Hope2findyou may also sound like you are looking for a person rather than an object, I did not think of that when you e-mailed me the other day. Kinda stinks ya gotta worry about these kinds of things hey? 😕 🙄

Holy crud! It works! I honestly have NO IDEA what I did, I just reloaded my Palm software like 6 times and then one last time decided to update it with a PDA414 patch from Palm and now it works with Cachemate! I feel like I won the lottery! 😀 Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help! ❗ ❗ ❗

WOW, thanks for the info Jeremy. I can’t even get the crummy PDA now to hotsync, not sure what is screwed up on that. It gets stuck on the synchronizing window and won’t go anywhere. I reinstalled the original CD to see if that helped, no luck. Frustrated… I would try the memory card thing, but I can’t even get the hotsync to work.

😀 Great job. Okay shameless plug….. 😳 come to West Bend Cache Bash and get 50 in a weekend (or a day – if you can!) 😯
I think I lost my chance to go out the last couple of weeks and now the skeeters are terrible. 🙁

Oh yea, sorry bout that 😳 It was rather warm at the end of the day and a refreshing beverage would have been great – we did grab a lemonade on the way out though. We had another team member to take back to their car so they could get home to family and so we chose to leave. It was great fun meeting you and the other teams and having fun kidding each other back and forth regarding the big “win.” I think the event was very well done considering it was their first.

To others reading, the first place prize was a giant “slab” 😛 of chocolate about 10″ around from Nestle, a round of golf for four on a local course, gift certificates from Kid Zone, a movie theatre, a bowling alley, Walmart and probably a few other things I forgot. 😀 We also got 4 nice t-shirts, some candy bars, one – one pound certificate for choc chip cookie dough for our $5.00 registration per person and a bunch of candy bars.

I look forward to the challenge next year and hope to get our speedy team back together, so look out! 😈

What a fantastic day! The teamwork was outstanding with LB7’s legs doing the sprinting (that was a lonnnnng run back and forth across that field – wow!) 😯 and jumping over things 😈 , Jeremy’s fantastic driving skills and The Pharmgirl’s help with navigation. This is really a fun event that Burlington has – too bad we did not get to sample more of the chocolate. Thanks everyone for going, I had a lot of fun and it was great to make some new friends and meet the SammyClaws team too and others. Next year, maybe we can meet the rest of the LB7 family and get two teams going! 😀

p.s. yep sorry about the firestation thing, being in EMS I have my brain wired one way – heh! 🙄

Really? No chocolate in it? Hmmm wonder what a ZagNut IS made of??? 😯 I am up for any name – would not care in the least if we changed it – cause it won’t matter when we are running around with chocolate moustaches anyways 😛 LB7, bring them along! Kids love chocolate and I SUPPOSE we can spare ONE chip for each one 😉 🙄

😆 😆 OMG – that song is a classic!!! What a Whopper of a song! Goobers eigh? Now they would not let us live that down for sure. Nestle makes lots of funny names, we could be: Tart n’ Tinys, Runts, Raisinettes, NesQUICK (which we are going to be.)

Hate to say, but I agree with all the previous posters. Travel bugs and coins are meant to travel and are not trade items as they are owned by someone else. I have a TB cache too that goes empty from time to time so I work to visit caches and “restock” it with new TB’s and coins and to keep them moving for their owners. 😀
