I’d steer away from the geocaching.com colors. Wasn’t there a logo similar to Dave’s proposed in jest a year or so ago with a spinning Wisconsin?
This one?

😯
Needs to be a little more busy, maybe with a flashing light on a gps.
😉

maybe it could subliminally flash “GO CACHING” every couple cycles 😆
If it only flashed a little faster it might even induce seizures.
Now that I could see. The only state geocaching organization with a clinical warning. 😆
We need more cow bell!!!
Sorry, but that one just makes my head feel funny, well I mean funnier than usual! 😯 😮 🙄
What do we do with the swag we find? We are like little kids and feel really excited when we find one of two things. A keychain or a lapel pin. The lapel pins we have on a board that we use for pins we collect when we travel, it is getting about 2/3 full and is very nice to look at. The keychains we hang on their own tree around the holidays. I leave stuff that I hope is creative, dove pins, pathtags, handmade geocaching pins, Mexican coins. I love to also find handmade items and have one of djwini’s angel pins and lost by 7s wooden nickels – which are always a treat to find too. 😀
Anybody want to help place caches or come up with cool cache ideas? 😯 Contact one of us.. Any help, suggestions appreciated! LDove or Ecorangers for your ideas for this BIG event!
Well, here’s the problem. I finally figured out how to get GSAK to work – not sure how I did that 😕 The problem is when I go to export to Cachemate file it looks like it is working UNTIL I hotsync and then it simply does nothing. Someone told me it had to do with the PDB files.
I have a computer tech offering to put XP on my computer and get rid of Vista, but have also heard that this can cause problems. 🙄 Anybody else heard this before I make the investment to buy a copy of XP?
If anyone has figured out how to get Cachemate/GSAK to work with Windows Vista I would owe you a beer!!! Ever since I bought my computer, I can’t use it!! 🙁
If I am getting close, say I have 8 more to do. I count them up and then when I get to for instance my 499th, the next one is the one that I pick that is “special.” Just log it that way too. Super Sized is a very good cache for a milestone. Even due to it’s micro size, you should not have a problem now that some of the snow has melted.
DO IT! I work in Emergency Care too – ha! 😆
I like them if they are puzzles that are not so complicated that you spend tons of time trying to solve and then if you get it wrong, you don’t get the “prize” in the end. I like it when puzzle hiders use the puzzle checker so you can be sure of your answer. I guess too many of them scare me off as they seem out of my league, but everybody likes something different so they must be fun to someone! Hopefully, I will get better at them.
There is a Milestone 500 series put out by Russell in the Kewaskum/West Bend area also which celebrated his 500. Probably the best out of the bunch is the Milestone 500 – don’t do this one GCRGKR but it would probably be difficult right now with too much snow. There is this one, which is also a Milestone 500 cache and would probably be doable with snow and was recently found GCRGPY – I remember it and it is a cute hide. 😀
😯 Some puzzles, but only because I am too dumb to figure them out. THAT is why I am going to get some expert advice from Marc in his workshop! 😀
😕 Well, you could always be lame and try my PU, What a Stinker. It is winter friendly, but not USER friendly. Just throw a rock at it and I will consider that a log signature, I don’t care… 😈 Congrats – you won’t have any trouble finding caches in West Bend! 😉
LOL 😆 😆 We hope to make all these caches as “lameless” as possible. In addition to the 50 new ones, you can still visit all the great West Bend caches while here. Which I see by looking back Mr. Greenthumb you have not visited my PU, What a Stinker lame cache, how lame is that???? 😛
Thanks for the input on the prizes = keep ’em coming. We want to have a big draw so any other suggestions on what would entice you and others to come would be fabulous! 😀
😯 Yikes – hope it was not at any icy geocache! Get better soon – warm weather and great caching is just around the corner.
I rememeber being a girl scout leader and taking sheets of copper that we got at the hobby store and pounding them over tiles to get the images off of it. Could you not roll a thin piece of copper over a image of Lincoln and produce the same effect? I’m just asking… I am going to the museum this weekend and I bet they have one of those thingys down there. I am going to note the year and minting number on it and see if I get it back. 😆
