We are trying to find a room in Appleton to go caching this weekend and researching the ones we have not done and I stumbled on this one – yikes! 😯 GCR69X 😈
Thanks for the suggestions Tye! I will check it out. Anybody ever tell you your Avatar would make a great Pathtag? Very cool! 😀 If anyone else knows of similar areas, still considering all my options and also for future reference.
Zuma what a lovely story! 😀 Thank you so much for sharing that, and what a sight to see I bet! Shindler’s List is a movie I know I should watch and have been meaning to for years, but I cannot get up the courage to do it. ED -Thanks for telling me about the references in the movie, another cacher who wrote to me also said they saw this regarding the movie.
Thank you Marc. It was so beautiful to see how these stones were laid on each headstone, it really intrigued me to know their significance. Some were obvious – heart shaped, etc… and some looked just plain. I thought maybe family members had brought them back from maybe various travels or something like that to share with their loved one. Thank you for replying and increasing my knowledge of other faiths/traditions. I find that extremely interesting. By the way, this cemetary is located in Brookfield and is adjacent to the It Hinges On Excitement cache.
😛 Mmmm chocolate – I love the coconut! I am, however, not nuts about puzzle caches – I just don’t get them. I consider myself pretty smart, but most of them are over my head. 😳 Guess I will have to take a class with Marc!
😯 😯 Have fun, but watch out for snakes! ech – we saw one while there, and beat a hasty retreat! 😮
Of course you did Aunti Nae, your tag is adorable! By the way, there is now a “Pathtag Club” where you can order one design a month and pay each month for that design. So far, we have designs for the first one and October which are really nice! I have ordered a couple extra of each so I can trade them later on. 🙂 This is way more economical than geocoins.
Anyone interested in trades, send me a trade request. Our tag is on page 44 in the tag gallery. 😀
😆 😆 😆
You could come do this one of mine GCT0MR
Anybody been to the Ghost Train caches? We have always wanted to do them, did you see anything? 😯
Frog, you sure are a helpful guy, thank you so much. These folks will be out and away from me in different groups I am not sure they would understand how to delete a track 😯 so I am going to have to hope that your advice on the gobbdly gook disappearing will help. 😛 These caches are all on the same property so they will be close together. I may experiment tonight and walk around in a few circles and see what happens. I should look pretty nuts – well, more than usual anyways! HA 🙄
Ok one more question. I tested a unit out at lunch. Seems to work ok. The compass screen on this unit has an arrow showing your point of travel and also one which points to the waypoint. If you go in the wrong direction, a black line follows you around. In other words, it tracks your every move. By the end of the day, with 14 caches to find, the screen is going to be very mucked up! I read the Lowrance book and it said to stop tracking, I should turn navigation off, but won’t that also shut off the compass part? I think the manual is very poorly written. If no one knows, I can only try it and see what happens…
😀 Thanks to everyone who helped with this. I am grinding my fingers to nubs putting in 14 waypoints on 14 GPS’s which don’t hold satellites very well… but I’m gettin’ er’ done! I just hope the goofy compasses on the things work, they don’t seem to be pointing in the right directions – at least from my home, but the location is 12 miles from my house. It would really stink if I went through all this work and then it does not work… yikes 😯
P.S. Thanks for trying to help me and the kids on this folks! 😀
WOW – I have 11 of them to do with 14 waypoints 🙁 I will try that, but does it sound to you like you can have 14 in there or only one? These are people who have never used a GPS so they would not understand how to put in new coords over the old one I don’t think…
