    Thanks for the info.
Interesting – I forgot the name of the walkway so I just did a Google search hoping to find it. The first link that came up was this page with my question on it out of 5,920.

It would fall under sidewalks I think. A memorial walkway. So I guess that would be the DPW. Do you know any contacts there?
    thanks

    Disregard my post.
EnergySaver managed to fix it for me so I no longer need one.

in reply to: Cookie cutter copy and paste logs #1876729

My only complaint, and not a big one, is the person who put a very long cookie cutter post on my caches and I felt as if I had to read each one fully and carefully just in case they said something different on one that might need maintenance.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
You fixed it. I lost the manual years ago and forgot all about master reset.
Where do I send the $5?

I bought it in 2001. Even if it had a 5 year warranty (I have no idea) I am out of luck.

It was so many years ago that I forget the incident and how bad the burn was, but anyway it is now force of habit. I think it’s called one shot learning. Before I put any battery in my pocket I move all metal to the other pocket. A few years ago I bought a plastic carrier that holds 4 AA batteries. Problem solved. You have to be careful. Some types of batteries can put out a lot of current. I couldn’t find it at the moment but there is a video of a laptop exploding while the guy was using it. People also have major burns from cell phones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmPm-YV9vdA

There is a similar cache in my area. It is hard to tell if proper precautions are listed because the text is written in German. It does say something about “if you don’t like heights….” when you translate it. When I tried it I didn’t know how high it was and if my knees could make the trip down so I only climbed about 10 feet before I gave up. Knowing how high it was would have been good but the owner was nice to answer my email and tell me. It does have a terrain and difficulty of 4 so we are warned. I think the cache shouldn’t be there because of possible tree damage but I haven’t said so because the owner got permission to put it there and so it’s none of my business. There are caches I might like to do but will never because of my limitations. That’s life.

I got my Jeep today, a red one.
Do they all have unique names? Am I stuck with the name it has? Actually the name isn’t bad and I don’t mind keeping it. Also the tag ID # is kind of cute.

Can I change the mission description?

I doubt that they sent one to everyone. I volunteer for the Channel 10 Auction. They donate some of those every year. I for get how much they are worth but I think it is well over $100. I am not a gambler and I am a vegetarian so the buffet probably isn’t worth it for me.

Rather than just complain I emailed Dan about the show. Below is the response I got from him. If I hear from Deb or anyone else I will let you know.

Lee: Thanks for the note. I will share this with our director, Jack Abrams, and Debby Wolniak, who produced the segment for their response.

Jack/Deb: Did you go through a local group to do this segment, or was the guest just someone interested in the sport?

Bushwhacking is definitely against the rules. I have done them and they are fun. Assuming you like to get lost.

I did decline him. Unfortunately I was not able to attach any type of statement or explanation. And now I can’t get as his profile to contact him.

I tried to do a name search to find him but since he hasn’t found any caches or doesn’t own one and hasn’t posted to the forums I can’t search for his name.
