Here’s a couple on page 37 that are very winter friendly, but not very short-person friendly:
GC17YMP
GC11PCC
This one would also probably be a good one, though the last finder said it was icy there and the log is wet: GCN83G

Even if it wasn’t in Wisconsin it would still be pretty scary to have a big cat looking in your patio doors!
Yeah, that first picture especially gives me the shivers!
Patience……………….
The difference between getting a board position or not is only one vote this year, so we have to take a bit of extra time to double check that all the votes are legitimate before certification can occur.
An announcement will be coming soon.
I’ve been a member for going on two years. I still think their coins are a little on the pricey side, but the quality is fine. Once in a while they may be late with a mailing, but you can’t always control what people are doing over in China.
If you want the March coin, I believe you need to join in February. Or since my membership is for two coins, I can sell you one of mine when it comes in.
Ooooo! How could I forget!
GCKFGX Intaglio & the Old Fort
From Wikipedia:
“Intaglio is a term from art applied to burial mounds that refers to a design cut into a hard surface. In this case, the burial mounds have designs cut into the ground, though intaglio broadly applies to burial mounds which are raised above the natural surface of the terrain. There are much more rare forms where they are left as indents below the natural terrain. These are typically in some effigy shape such as that of a cat which can be seen in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, where it is the last remaining intaglio mound in the state.”Actually, I think there are only two known left in the whole country. Don’t come visit it now though – it’s buried under 2 feet of snow.
Just a reminder that there are only 3 DAYS LEFT! If you haven’t voted yet, please do so ASAP!
GC135YT Another Round at the Mounds
Current tally for WI I’m seeing is 7730.
I’m getting that number from geocaching.com for a standard state search.
Edit: ooooo…ninja’d by Jeremy
Even though I am one of the “impartial observers”, I still get to vote and I must say that I had a really, really hard time narrowing it down to 4 people. I commend everyone who is running as they are all worthy candidates! No matter who wins, I’m sure we will have a great BOD for 2008. Good luck everyone!
I’m 90% likely to be in for a coin project. I’ve got to iron out some things to make sure I can go, but I’m trying.
I like both coins, but if I had to choose, I would stick with the parrot theme.

There has been one spotted in the Rhinelander area off and on for the past few years. Our friend who is a county deputy had it jump right in front of his squad car. It’s also been in the paper and on the news up here.
TEThose silly people. It’s obviously a hodag.
Gee, if you put my name on it, then I guess I’ll have to go!
Yeah, now I have guilt. But I think it turned out for the best with the Bat Conservation guy. He was able to give Bec a whole little nature lesson about it. No way I would have been able to tell it was a girl or anything.

Also, Jeremy and I have been discussing modifying this slightly to make it an ongoing contest, with monthly and annual winners, and updating the cache listing every 2 months or so to take off the found caches and add on the “newly lonely” caches. Any objections?
So to find the monthly winner, you would only use the points earned for that month – correct? And then have a cumulative score for the annual winner?
Ooooooooooo! One of my caches hasn’t been found in over a year – so double points for someone! (GCV4CY) And it really is the best time to get out there. No bugs and the bog is frozen. Shouldn’t be too many hunters anymore either.
I was going to archive it and change it into something else, but now I won’t. 8) I do hope it’s still there – I haven’t checked it since gun hunting season.
