Sagasu would probably get on my case if I didn’t mention this one:

Fire In The Sky (GC1575V) on Rock Island. I changed around my vacation schedule to get that one. And in the end I paid dearly for it as well – check out my log. The kids will never, ever forget it.

OK. K0rpl, Team Margaritaville, and The Hike and Seekers have been added to the committee and should have access to the campout planners forum. Anyone else want to be involved with the decision making? We are already discussing date and location.

Final number on the sale: 700 coins.

Not as many as the 2005 coin, but then the geocoin market has matured – meaning there are a lot more coins available out there and people are no longer scrambling to get every single one. In today’s geocoin world, 700 is a pretty good number.

I’ve never come across anything suspicious-looking like zuma, but I do carry a vial of +1 pepper spray in my Bag of Holding just in case.

Gamers – geesh! 🙄 I have to live with them every day. Thought I was safe from them here. 😉

    You are a geocaching NUT!

    😉

An excellent milestone! Much better than 1000, don’t you think?

In case anyone is curious, the lighthouse appears to be the Cana Island Lighthouse in Door County. The closest cache is GCH485, “I Have Seen The Light!”

I was there this summer as well – great cache BTW. Yep. I agree – looks like Cana Island to me too.

Shows you how out of the loop I am – I didn’t even know there was a version 2.

Congrats you guys. We had to travel to Illinois to steal one away from them to get ours. It is a cool coin.

    No you didn’t!

Maybe you are thinking about that spy coin?

Nice to see the fairy is still active after a whole year! 😀

We were wondering about logging those we adopted from her, too. The actual caches are ones we’d already done, but we took on a few of the virtuals, too, and hadn’t done those. I mean, do we email ourselves the correct answer? 😯 In the case of one of them, I guess it’s the ONLY cache in Menominee County, so if we ever chase that goal, can we even achieve it?

I guess that’s one we’ll worry over if we actually need to, though.

Interesting conundrum. What I would do is email Lil Otter with the answers and explain why you are doing it – so that you can log the find legitimately. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind and would probably find it funny. I would put the fact that you did that in your log so people will see it. That’s what I’d do anyway.

In conclusion, I’d just like to tell you how this whole thing reminds me of someone I learned about when I was studying for my Naturalization Test. William Pitt the Elder was an 18th Century British Politician. Many feel as though he was really ahead of his time in his views of the Crown. He is most famous for one of his quotes.

    You must mean this one:

“The parks are the lungs of London.”

So what you are wanting is the Board to go and change the bylaws so that the current term FRIEND becomes MEMBER and the current MEMBER becomes VOTING MEMBER because a couple people don’t like the FRIEND designation due to a perceived “lameness”. Do I have this correct?

in reply to: Wisconsin Geocaching Association Membership #1879870

I’m afraid don’t get your question. Anybody from outside WI is welcome to join and fully participate in everything our organization does, except elections.

Is this more confusion about “Member” vs. “Friend” again? Friends ARE WGA members in every way except they can’t vote in the election or run for the Board. Giving them the Friend designation in their profile just enables us to see in our membership database who is eligible to vote and who isn’t. And it’s not just people from out of state – it is underaged members as well. So how is that different from what you want?

czernicachers is right – I forgot about that. If you do edit it, don’t forget to change the log date as well.
