Trying to get every cache within 50 miles is FUTILE – don’t do it!!!! (There. Did that work? 😈 )
I too really enjoy the “brass ring” type goals. I am currently working on the WI DeLorme and county challenges as well as working my way up the Earthcache Master ladder. And when The Caching Place has quest games, my goal becomes to complete that to the best of my ability as quickly as possible. I guess I like challenges where I have to puzzle out which caches will best help me achieve my goals – it adds an extra element to the fun for me.
I’ve never even bothered to try to cache out a 50 mile radius from my house – I live too close to the greater Milwaukee area. 😯
People have been complaining about this little blip on the big forums too. It either goes away 30 days after you logged your Will Attend (like the others that fall off the bottom after a month) OR it maybe goes away when the event is archived. I’m not sure which it is – but for sure it does NOT go away just because the event happened.
It’ll disappear eventually.

You can complete all the counties without hitting all the DeLorme pages (like Piwko and I did last summer… at the time there was no DeLorme challenge) or complete all the DeLorme pages without getting all the counties (like zuma, lagrac, and others have done). Obviously if you know you want to complete both challenges, it will be easier to do them simultaneously… but not a given (a two-for), as you will probably have to find caches that only count for a page or county but not both.
Yep! It’s not a given. Since the DeLorme came out, I have been working on that as well as getting all the counties just cuz I wanted to. I was surprised at how much extra work doing both at the same time was. I still have some gaps in my maps where I have completed all the pages in an area but not all the counties and vice versa. Kinda weird how it works out.
That pharmteam always beats me. 😉
My Caught Red Handed coin has gone 22559 miles so far. It went out to the east coast, then New Zealand, Australia, and now its been puttering around Germany.
Thanks for the great links!
But I’m afraid I might have hijacked LB7’s thread…..

You could come do this one of mine GCT0MR
Added this one to my list – thanks. Any other ghostly themed caches out there that I don’t know about?
Spooky Caches of Wisconsin – a bookmark of mine. Maybe you’ll get some inspiration from some of them.
For your non-WSQ list: GC859A
I don’t see that anyone has yet mentioned this:
Eau Claire is the horseradish capitol of the world.
I grew up there and always felt bad that I can’t stand the stuff.

The First Baby of Brookfield is the cache in Question for lonesomedoves’ query. Laura Ingals Wilder was the lass’ name. I hit this awesome virtual this last January when I was in Waukesha for Janboree.
Not bad for a Minnesota guy eh?
Actually, you get half credit for that. Right family, wrong person…..
That’s just too funny! If you are going to put incentives like that out there, I guess I’ll have to try to find more temps next time.
Edit: woo-hoo! 1000th post!

Congratualtions! Hmmm… is the wedding going to be a caching event?
Oh! Pleeeeeze????
Or at least you have to have an event reception!
So this is the bug I picked up! It is heading east…..
I’ll bring a cooler and some water. From the sounds of it, I will just be able to leave it all outside Friday night and everything should be reeeeaal cold Saturday morning.
Glad you are going to be able to make it!
BTW, I have heard Celia Farran several times and have always enjoyed it.
