Did you realize the little froggie on the finishers coin glows?
Well, the quest is officially over, though people can still complete it at any time. It’s just that the leader board is set and will not change. I think the WI contingent did quite well with pharmteam coming in nearest the top at #16 – woohoo!
Congrats also to Trekkin and Birdin as well as – oh yeah – me 😯 for winning a prize in the random drawing. I have no idea what the prizes are yet. Geez, I never win anything so this is a strange feeling.

Also, there is a great local hamburger stand in Dundee, just up the road from the Ice Age center. You can have a burger and visit the old mill (featured on Extreme Makeover, Home Edition last year).
Hey, I’ve been there! It is good.
Unfortunately, I will be near Mt. Horeb that day.
Though I had PI a few times as a kid, I hadn’t had a breakout through 3 summers of geocaching. Once in a while I would even find myself standing in a patch of it, but no break-outs. Guess I got a bit cavalier about it.
Now – worst – case – ever, and yes, I did wait a bit too long to get treatment. I took pictures of the weepy blisters covering my legs, but I won’t post them – don’t want to gross anyone out. 😈
So now I’m sticking to urban caches until we get a good freeze. Except for the picnic – I’ll just have to be verrrrrrrrrry careful there – no shorts for sure.
If you want some good coin news: TBMP1P
Moved by 28 different people, 4 states, 4 countries, 22411 miles.
I hope I didn’t just jinx it now.
Of course, I’ve had some bad luck with travelers as well – both coins and TBs. Such are the risks. Of course one would hope that it wouldn’t get stolen out of the very first cache it was in. That totally bites.
I will finally be able to get up there and find a few. (Actually, I already found one, but I didn’t have a book to punch with me.) Are there still coins to be had and can I pick up a book at the convention center?
I had the solution memorized at one point in the 80s. Now I can only solve one side without looking it up.
Bring it on, Kent.
Sounds rational. It’s an isolated incident that I would let be as well.
Finally mine arrived today! I was beginning to feel a bit left out. Look for it to pop up soon in the Eau Claire area.

@marc- I thought you were to release the Jeeps within 2 weeks of receiving them? I thought I read it in the rules when I applied to get mine.
I thought I saw that too.
You did put an option on there to get credit for it even if they didn’t find the cache itself (which it sounds like they did not). Did they email you with the correct answer? If so, then I would let them keep the find. If not, then I would email them about it. Though they are not “newbies”, neither do they have much experience with cache finding. I think some communication with them is in order before any action is taken.
Ordered 4!

You can use the TAB key to skip to elements on a web page. The FF is an element. When you TAB around the page eventually the “SWEET SPOT” will highlight.
That hint was really super-helpful! I found the spot in about 10 seconds. Finally got my second FF behind me, and got all the caching done. Just have to put everyone in jail now and see where I fall in the rankings.
Two nights in a row? I think this really IS a message to just quit now, LOL. But I only have two to go!
I suppose lots of people are trying to arrest their outlaws in the evenings and it makes the site crash or something. Has anyone else encountered this while playing?
They said in the forums that you can contact them about the time you were penalized because the server was having issues and they’ll take it off.
I would be there, but I’m traveling out of town this weekend. One of my favorite caches down there is GHOST IN THE WOODS (GCGX89). We also recently enjoyed Little Monkey’s Little Car Exchange (GC10CWV).
Me too – I’ve still got 4 more outlaws to round up. Life has just been getting in the way of fun this week! 😀
I did already manage to find where the treasure map is – so I’m all set when I put the last one away.
Hey! pharmteam is currently #5 on the finishers list. Way to go guys!
