I applied for a red jeep TB this morning. I have been caching for 2 1/2 years, have 5 hundred something finds, and can you believe, I have never found a jeep TB in a cache!?
Yeah, I believe that. I’ve only found one in an actual cache. The rest have been handed to me by somebody.
Since I have a slow dial-up at home (3 KB/sec), I went to my husband’s office on a weekend when nobody was there. They have a T-1 so those pix would load up quick! I downloaded Google Earth so I could quickly scan all the caches. Finding the “spot” by slowly sweeping across the picture was no problem, and I started looking at caches around Moab then worked outwards towards places the outlaws were hiding.
My picture was of a jeep climbing a hill. I started to see pictures of that same jeep at other caches, so I went to the profile of the cacher that owned the jeep and started clicking on caches he had done in Utah. Found it on the fifth one.
So that’s how the first FF worked for me. I don’t know if that helps anyone, but that is my story. I have my second FF coming up soon. We’ll see how that goes.

So…if we get one, can we log it right away?
Yes. You “grab” it into your inventory so you can place it in a cache. That counts.
LB7 must have taken advantage of some of those location requirements as he is the 107th finisher in the quest. Guess you were able to figure out that treasure map? 😉
Hi lele!
Did we talk a bit last summer?
Oooooooooo………red!
Called it! LOL
Glad he’s finally getting the treatment he needs.
I like the double meaning of the thread title too.

Are the nymph deer ticks potential Lyme transmitters, or just the adults?
Grandpa
According to my web research, the nymphs are actually MORE likely to transmit Lymes. It’s the reason that so many people who contract the disease didn’t even realize they were bitten – cuz those things are so TINY!

He does indeed!

I break out in similar reactions every time I get bit by a deer tick. I know it is allergic because I had the same reaction to a second deer tick while I was on antibiotics. I’ve had 5 deer tick bites myself this year and I have not used antibiotics for any of them.
Same here. I just watch the bites and wait to see if I get any flu-like symptoms. So far I’ve been lucky….
One word to cheezehead: EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!

I am sure they are pleased with the visitors their project has realized already.
Yes, they are very excited about how well the series has been received.
Update: the missing cache may need to be relocated a little bit. We will try to get that done quickly, but the woman who is running this project isn’t in the office every day. It’s a matter of arranging schedules so we can meet up there again.

Can I recommend it for Cache of the Month for July? I’ll have to see how to do that.
You can do it for June and/or July. Just click on Cache of the Month, and enter is as “other”.
Actually, I was off by a day. Voting continues until midnight tonight. 2 1/2 more hours! Winner will be announced Tuesday.

We are still in Moab trying to decide if we will actually chase outlaws. The other half of the team says I need to pick the cars, so if we do go be prepared to laugh. I know nothing about skid lockers, can not find rock stairs among my locations to take that Hummer and will probably ended up taking the PT Moozer across a flooding creek. Finally located caches for all the outlaws but have to travel way too much and still need to actually find a couple
Since I see you just earned a FF, it seems like you decided to go for it!
