Oh and by the way, if there is a committee, I would be interested in being on it!
I will sign you up. Anybody else?
I don’t mean to hijack the thread, but we have several items on the Community Education Committee agenda for the upcoming months. Right now we are figuring out how to organize all the requests coming for giving presentations and coming up with materials for said presentations. But there’s lots of other stuff to do too! 😀

I still Need:
JD Apple Slinger
Anyone know where I can get these close to Ocon?
It helps to read the earlier posts….. 😉
GC1102C (Racine)
GCZ8QC (Waukesha)I’m too tired to do links right now….
Edit: Cool! The forum automatically did the links for me! I did not know it would do that.
A new thing. Check it out.
And what’s with those petroglyphs that keep popping up???
The coin vote is on!
There was a delay in getting it started. Instead of just creating a poll, Jeremy has put together a new referendum module to use for things like this. Click on “Referendums” in the menu bar on the left to find it.
A couple people found it and voted before the final modifications were made and those votes were lost in the process. IF YOU HAVE VOTED PRIOR TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, please click there again and double check. If you have a vote being counted, your choice will appear in red. If your vote was erased, you will just be able to click on your choice and vote again.
Voting will remain open for one week.

Just find a cache in an area you have not cached, that meets one of the requirements, and hunt any other caches in the area. You’d be surprised what you find when you are not even looking.
That’s exactly how I found this apple cache:
It mentions that the cache is hidden in an old overgrown orchard. You can still kind of see it in places. A bit of a drive from Oak Creek, but not too bad.
djwini – I got my maps from topozone.com since Google Earth never works for me. You can see which have dirt roads, 4WD trails, or almost nothing for the approach.
Then I figured out the 16 locations were the real ones from the list and googled them. Some of them are at http://www.4x4now.com/mu4wd.htm . There’s a couple places tho that I am stuck on and I’ll just have to wing it I guess.

I haven’t even figured out at what point a Fast Forward might occur. Need to read their forums a bit, I guess.
Figure out the 16 codes in the evidence file. I haven’t finished them, but I have enough to know that they talk about the fast-forwards.
The person who might know who to talk to about this is green & gold. He teaches near Milwaukee and I’m pretty sure he has had caches on school owned property.
Ummmm……..I don’t think my minivan would be happy there. So I found a cache with a Jeep in it. Hope it is still there tomorrow when I go find it.

I found 34 this weekend and DNF’d almost every cache that I could use for the hunt !
Ouch! 🙁
I think I might place a cache with the title I mentioned…and perhaps add a few more words as well and make it a micro puzzle cache. In fact I already know the spot…stay tuned.
Will that micro be a “Menace” or “Trouble”? I could use one of those.
I remember somebody hosted an event cache during the first quest that fulfilled just about every requirement. So anybody who was missing something could go and pick up that requirement.
lonesumdove – Mooving Around Wisconsin (cow-shaped)
“Note the GPS around her neck. More of a humerous take on the coin than the other beautiful designs which are a little more serious, but I guess that is just me.”

Team Hemisphere Dancer – WI-shaped with Canoe
“The (canoe) image would be the back side of the coin. The coin would be in the shape of Wisconsin. Any verbiage that you want could be put on it. But I was thinking a pewter coin with a lot of relief would look the best.”

Jay Mills – America’s Dairyland
“Maybe its time for some color rather than just a straight metal finish. I really like the America’s Dairyland side, kinda captures the spirit of Wisconsin IMHO. On the WGA side maybe have a Badger come out from behind the state, or replace the compass rose with a Badger. Or include several state symbols like CB’s submission. If its done with color the state could take the form of chedder cheese.”
Decrepit – Badger

greyhounder – Heads or Tails (Wisconsin is Udderly Great)
“This is just a concept. I’ve yet to find the perfect udder:”
