Then one of the cachers offered me a handfull of napkins and I thanked him for the new monicer. As I wiped my Chin, he confided that he had said: “that’s truly a beast.”

LOL! I was drinking a soda when I read this and almost needed a new keyboard!!!

I can take care of that for you.

If I found a photocopy of a coin in a cache instead of the coin itself, I wouldn’t log it but just leave it for someone else. But that’s just me.

I have released 3 different coins. They are put in a flip holder with directions not to keep the coin in the other side of the flip. Frankly, I’ve had about the same results with my coins moving as I have with my regular travel bugs. Not bad, could be better.

I will be releasing one WI coin into the wild. One other will travel with me to events, and the rest will be for trades and maybe a few FTF prizes.

According to those that have finished it, the last piece reveals what you need to know to solve everything.

So I’m not gonna worry about it.

Yes, the palm trees were mentioned in, well, that *other* forum.

Now it’s just a matter of wait and see……

Finished up all our cache requirements today. Just waiting on approval for our placement.

I haven’t really started looking at the map too closely. I know of the three coded areas to decrypt, some of which are red herrings. And I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something embedded in the map itself. I figure I got a few more days before I need to figure it out.

So that’s our update for those of you who care.

I did a quick search, but didn’t find a cache with that name near Green Bay. Maybe it was archived? (The Big Bad Wolf probably got it!)

I’ve never geocached up around there. Anybody else know this cache or the owners?

How many WI event caches have had temp caches floating around the breakfast/dinner table? Their event looks like a similar thing to me.

Ah yes, “pocket caches”. They happen at Wisconsin events, Portland events, and lots of other places too. We could start a whole other thread about the validity of them.

But I don’t recall ever seeing a pocket cache at a WGA event. And that’s why I think it’s unfair to compare the two events in that listing. People may have run up 55 finds in one day at the campout, but they didn’t do it sitting around in a restaurant.

It was nice of the event host to apologize, but I see he’s not changing the cache page.

Now that I’ve vented a little, I’m going to take the MB approach and not worry about it any more. Cheers!

It surely got us out today to find our forest cache and scope out a place for a new hide I’ve been thinking about. I might make it a multi…but an easy one.

BTW, we picked up 6 of the requirements over the weekend (event, dog, river, view, 2003, FTF). Woo-hoo!

MB – I guess we should get to that shopping trip we’ve been talking about so I can pick one out.
