They listed their last breakfast, but they don’t do the Team Badger outings as they don’t qualify. I think there’s food involved in this one, so they might list it but I don’t know for sure.

But it’s a moot point cuz you guys are going to Eau Claire! Meet ya there!

    Anything for you guys!

re events: CB&MB are talking about an event on 12-10 in Kenosha. Hopefully, the game won’t be over by then.

Fu: have fun in Florida! We just got back from there. Don’t know if you are planning to be near Delavan any time soon, but that is where I got my triple-digit cache.

    BWAhahahahahaha!

Glad to see there’s some friendly competition here in WI. But there’ll be 250 winners, so it is all good. I’ve got everything figured out except the cache I’m going to place, and I’m waiting for a FTF. Not much I can do about that one, so I’m a little jealous of the Puppies right now.

I’m headed up to Eau Claire for an event this weekend. Originally, I wanted to attend but wasn’t going to as I’m traveling up there again for the holidays. But now I’m going.

As for finding a cache with 3 digits the same: I did it the hard way, but was told that GSAK makes it easy.

Magnolia is the one I’m planning to do. Jesus’ Tomb I’m sure would also qualify if anyone up there wants to compete.

Info on the contest can be found at the link in my first post.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions – I guess I’ll just have to do all of them!

I’m curious though (cuz I love art & history) – anybody know of any others?

Lb7: thanks for the suggestion. Mayville is not too far away, so I’ll definitely keep it in mind.

Ideally, I’d like to find one where the *primary goal* of the cache is to bring you to see a statue or sculpture. Like this one. I think that’s the intention of the requirement. Technically, I think I could get a cemetery cache to work, but I’d prefer to keep with the spirit of the requirement if possible.

bnb: I thought of that one too, but yes I’ve done it already, and frankly I wished it was closer to the statue.

Hmmmmm…..mine says: “Field not found: ?.propReader.”

    Like that means anything.

My best memories of this last year (besides the caching of course) was getting to know some of you a lot better. And meeting the scouts too. Oh – and that Alan brought lots of donuts! (I’m afraid I didn’t go anywhere near that soup tho…..)

I believe this is the article you are referring to:
    http://65.34.18.106/content.php?article.15

It does assume you are using GSAK. But I know MB doesn’t use GSAK, just cachemate to load to her Palm unit. Can’t tell you how tho – sorry.

Wisconsin also has 3 of the top 25 travel bug finders in the world.

in reply to: Logging event caches #1740860

If you choose to log temp caches, the only option available is to do multiple “attended” logs – one for the event and one for each temp cache. There has been lots of discussion about how this could be better, but no go from GC.com.

Have fun at the event – wish we could be there too!

I’m afraid aprs means annual percentage rates to me, so I can’t help you there.

However, check out handicaching. You might be able get some help there. Otherwise, asking around to people who’ve cached in the area works. I have a couple that would work for you, if you would happen to be near here:

    Fireflies GCMZ98
    Royce Dallman GCM4MQ

Thanks to all for arranging this! Only a little stiffness remains today LOL! What a way to spend 11 hours, eh?

P.S. And how come I’m the only one to have logged our adventures so far???
